| biggun Member outthere 67 Posts 7/00 | okay folks, calling all computer nerds here! i have run into a slight problem. i use my roommates computer and she is, ah, a little religious and i am sure she wouldn't approve of my online activities using her computer. so, i know how to clear the history and such, but everytime i try to type in an address in the URL bar that starts with an a, adultdvdtalk comes up automatically. i have tried clearing my caches, exiting the program, etc. but the damn bastard still keeps popping up like morning wood! help!!!! i need to find a way to get rid of it before she uses her computer again or else no more chats for me [Link] |

| Saki At-Large 2087 Posts 11/99 | The drawback to clearing the history file is that all of a sudden her autocompletes and history entries are gone, and that might have her asking you some questions... On Netscape, another setting to check is to clear the location bar (also done in Options). If you click on the downward pointing triangle next to the address entry box (where you type in web site addresses), it will so you the list of the last 10 or so addresses you've type in.
