Remember who Briana Banks was before she was Briana Banks? I do! She was an awkward and gangly long-legged teen named Mirage. I worked with her several times before her natural beauty shone through and she started working with Vivid. Her outstanding performances led to a contract, which has continued to this day as far as I know.

My point? It's simple, really. If I shot her when I first met her and put it in a series like 50 TO 1 back then, many naysayers would disparage her as being not ______ enough or not ________ enough (feel free to fill in the blanks with the adjective of your choice). It still doesn't change that she's a gorgeous woman who blossomed on camera. The lesson is, then, that even Vivid girls don't look like Vivid girls all the time. There is a lot of makeup, hair, experience, Photoshop touchups, and many other factors that come into play.

Where's the hue and cry about Jenna Jameson not being "hot" in Up and Cummers #10 and 11? She doesn't have a ton of makeup. She's wearing normal clothes. She even has the audacity of looking very girl-next-door instead of all done-up a la THE MASSEUSE! Gimme a break, man. Hot is hot, whether she's just starting out or present day. Jenna looked great then and great now.

Same for my mini-Jennas in 50 TO 1. I love each and every one of the little cum eaters. So should you.

But to clarify my point, not every girl in porn is drop-dead beautiful. In fact, the majority aren't. Some are beautiful, some are average or OK-looking, and the rest are just suitable enough for porn. In all the pornos I've ever seen since I started watching porn, I have found it rare, if not almost impossible, to find a movie where every single girl in the flick is gorgeous. Regardless of which studio produces it, there is always bound to be at least one dog in the bunch. And in a movie with so many girls, the chances of that happening only increase.

As for the example of Mirage/Briana Banks, I always thought she was cute, pre-implants and all. To me, it doesn't matter whether a girl is brand new and doing her first movie or if she is a seasoned pro shooting at one of the uppity studios. If the chick looks good, then she looks good, and if she doesn't, she just doesn't. I can think of several girls who came into porno looking terrible, and even after boob enhancements, make-up jobs and new hairdos, they still look terrible. On the other hand, there are girls who come into porn straight off the street looking great. How good a girl looks has little to do with her make-up, her studio, or how long she's been in the business. Some look good, some don't.

I doubt that anyone could gather 50 performers in a movie and have every one of them be a hit with any of the viewers. Criticizing a movie is fine, but try to keep the comments within the realm of reality.
