If I recall correctly, the old Brazzers HD video rate when they went to 1080P was around 12000kbps and they were using WMV-HD at HQ encoding settings, giving massive files that were 6-12GB. That bitrate was unheard of at the time, because broadband was just rolling out to the masses and HDTVs were too, so most sites were putting out low-bitrate 720P vids that were 1-2GB. I've watched those files on big screens and 32-inch 1080P PC monitors and the quality was readily apparent, though today's TVs often have worse displays and picture quality due to cost cutting, so take what you see now with a grain of salt. I don't know what the new bitrate is, but I still have access to the same HQ 1080P displays I used ages ago, so I can certainly see if I can do some testing to see if there is any real difference.
I also just downloaded the latest Eliza Ibarra clip, and holy crap, I had to make sure my LASIK corrected eyes weren't failing me. The only thing that was sharp was the Brazzers logo in the bottom right corner .
I've seen some poorly encoded videos that were super large. I remember Nympho.com, they had one hour videos that were close to 6gb but the video still looked crappy, especially around the model's face. Nympho's video was 12000kb/s, but the source makes a big difference so I don't know what kind of potato camera Nympho used or what color correction was applied. This is how I felt with the most recent Eliza clip. But in this case, Brazzer's video didn't even hit 3000kb/s, appears to average around 2500kb/s.
So at one point it was 12,000kb/s to 8000, to 6000 and now 2500kb/s. How low can they go indeed.

I wonder if Brazzers is losing money and that's why we're seeing the move to lower and lower bitrates? Hard to believe, but pushing out two scenes each day is expensive and they probably lost a lot of paying members over the last year.

I like watching 1080p on a small tablet. There was an amazingly entertaining baseball playoff game (esp the 7th inning) between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Texas Rangers a few years ago with all sorts of incidents including 3 errors by Texas and a huge bat flip by Jose Bautista. This looked amazing on the tablet at 1080.
^^ You do use the zoom function in porn videos? I want to watch the video, and not care to zoom in and pan around to find the area I’m interested in. That’s the job of the editor/camera operator. Of course, if you have only a static tripod scene (zero effort from the producer), then the viewer has to do the work and find out what’s interesting.
On a different note: I heard that you can upload 360° videos on youtube, but then the viewer once again has to select what is interesting, instead of the producer of the video, who might be shooting with a 360° camera, but if he eventually makes a "flat" video, he has to decide at the editing stage what part is important. And that’s a lot of work. But I want to watch the video, not be the editor. That is maybe interesting for novelty effect, but after 2-3 times becomes tedious and unnecessary. Especially if on repeat watching...

I agree, lex von v, that the viewer should not have to do the work. For me though, I really love face closeups, so I am willing to do the work of zooming. What bugs me more than the zooming is when the part I want to zoom to isn't in the original frame. For instance, one of my favorite stars was "emoting" loudly while taking it in the pussy, but they never showed her expressive face during that part of the video, a big disappointment. I really wish there were more multiple camera type videos, like the site DoubleViewCasting offers.
Looks like someone restored about 60 scenes on Brazzers today. Count is at 7087.
At this rate we may have all the scenes restored by summer of 2022.

In the somewhat controversial Kelly Divine/James Deen scene "The Slutmother," which was formerly at the now-defunct subsite Pornstar Punishment, but which has now been placed in the subsite Big Butts Like It Big, Brazzers has shortened the porn part of the scene considerably, leaving out things like spitting and lots of the roughest treatment. (reference: I was a member in the first half of 2020 and saw the shortened version then.)
A comparison of the two versions of the scene may be a good barometer of what is "OK" and what isn't.
Kelly said she had no problem with the scene, but I guess others did.
Funny, they still show the introduction where James Deen shoots to death the two guys sitting at the card table.
This fits with the (esp MGTOW) view that society sees men as expendable.
Do you think that segment of the scene would have been deleted if he had shot two girls instead?
Does anybody know what scenes was put back on site?

^Hi. I think only the Brazzers people would know exactly. Usually we are just checking the total number of scenes that Brazzers says are available, or the scenes of a particular pornstar.
Would any body know if brazzers premium helps? - Are they downloads and better than the streams? Does premium unlock other sites in the network - digital playground etc?

There is nothing called brazzers premium. You can choose either between "brazzersplus" or "pornportal premium". 2 different ways to milk more money out of you. i havent tried but i asked an agent in the probiller chat and i was told this: "brazzersplus is a different services is no connected with the brazzers site / premium.pornportal.com is a site different for brazzers.com, different scenes and videos" and "and the best example for brazzersplus is a Instagram for models you subscribe to the models you like and see the content for more info please email to feedback@brazzersplus.com from here we dont work we brazzersplus"
I think there is a chance of 99 percent that you are disappointed if you pay extra for this.
^ The more people that complain the better but I did do that when I cancelled after 3 years of membership and a couple of times after that never got a reply once. Although I sent it to feedback@brazzers.com I honestly don't think they care thou. Would be good to know if there was someone to actually complain to maybe it's being done by one department and higher up don't know coz there been given uncompressed footage big wishful thinking there.
The thing that sucks is that they actually put a bit of effort into the production it's not one guy holding the camera in his hand shaking all about, everything is fine except for the video quality its such a waste.
It is legitimate to cut costs. But reducing the quality is the beginning of the end. While other premium sites like all sites of Vixen Media Group, Jules Jordan, Evil Angel etc. permanent improve quality with crystal clear 4k clips (admittedly with a big data size), Brazzers, Mofos etc. reduce quality at the expense of the customer. As a result, they are no longer premium websites and sink into mediocrity.
A famous industry manager once told: "In the end, two will survive: the best and the cheapest." Brazzers don't belong to one of the both ...

The story on this thread for a while now has been the reduction in video quality, but I'm starting to wonder now if they've switched out some of their directors and production staff as well because, recently, the scenes themselves don't seem to be shot as well. The last few weeks, just browsing new scenes, it seems like a lot of the camerawork isn't capturing the right angles. I could be imagining it though, meaning I haven't done a detailed comparison of today's scenes vs. scenes from a year or more ago.

Brazzers has headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The province of Quebec has been especially hard-hit with the coronavirus. Measures have included nightly curfews. I don't know where the filming itself occurs. There is a site called glassdoor.ca that has 55 reviews of employees who work at Brazzers. But you need to give personal information to read the details.
Recently downloaded the Alexis Fawx and Lauren Phillips scenes. Looks like this low-bitrate crap is here to stay. At least those two scenes were better shot than the Eliza Ibarra scene earlier. On a phone sure it looks fine, even on my 13 inch mbp retina it looks okay. But on my 27 inch 4K monitor sitting at my normal distance at my desk, the low bitrate is obvious.
Well I guess I'm glad the photo sets are still good. Sony A7III. higher than HD resolution about the resolution of my 13 inch mbp retina so good for wallpaper use.

Is it just me or has Brazzers been desaturating their scenes? They used to be colorful and vibrant but all of their recent ones looks like someone has applied a filter to them and made the colors dull. I can't stand it.
^ I think iv mentioned that looks like a poster that's been out in the sun the colours are all faded. Probably a side effect of heavy compression super small fill sizes.
Love the colour and contrast of DDF/Porn World videos I get from Legalporno.
Seems to be a few Jynx Maze scenes missing. Guessing they're getting the encoding treatment. Are they re-encoding from source or re-coding the existing files I wonder. - If so, will be terrible.
I'm a paid-up member but am now on file sharing sites downloading their higher rate streams.

I would agree that the scenarios at Brazzers show little imagination these days. They used to do great parodies, but pretty much stopped about 2017. Variation of female stars? Generally agree, but might quibble slightly on the details. (We got a Nicolette Shea scene about once a month, almost like clockwork from 2017-20 for example.)

Any current members able to shed any light on how often Hot and Mean updates? I'm a lesbian fan, always on the look out, trying to scratch that itch. Or for that matter how often the update lesbian content, period, on Brazzers? (I was basically considering joining for Hot and Mean if it's updating.)

Re-Re-Mix; Double Edit: I got to looking around and realized you could use IAFD to look up by studio, and got the scene counts from them, and started looking at the numbers.
Not counting their first year, 2009, and this year so far having just started, they've averaged 53 scenes per year every full year of their existence. They did dip last year, but being CV19 and all, I get it. For me and my dollars, and what I'm looking for, plus all the other stuff that comes with it on the side, but specifically for the lesbian content on Hot and Mean, averaging 1/week updates for 11 consecutive years now? I think that's a pretty strong case for me snagging a year.
Triple Edit: Joined for a year at 119.95, advertising unlimited downloads, I get to the member's area - Upcharge for unlocking downloads, 14.99/month. I watch nothing. Contact customer service. They try and say it's clearly marked as such during the signup page. That's bullshit, not at all. I told them either issue a full refund, as I've not watched any of your content, or I'll contact my card company upon the exiting of this chat for a charge back. They refunded and ended my access. Now I have to wait 7 to 10 days to get my refund.
