I think it's most unfair for the straight porn industry to promote and glorify female-female sex in its movies but to totally ignore the male-male variety. For too long, this double standard has been allowed to go unchallenged but I'm here to say it's time for straight porn to become a bit more progressive and representative.

There are very few movies that show this. I think Paul Thomas did a movie not to long ago that featured two guys together and the classic Cafe Flesh did as well if I am not mistaken.

Most consumers (ie guys) do not care for this so companies just don't put them in.

What also riles me is when straight porn companies promote their movies as "couples movies". Fact is, these movies are still skewed towards male heterosexual fantasies. You get the male-female and female-female but definitely not the male-male. So, in a way, the straight porn industry teaches straights to accept that female-female is normal but that male-male is to be ignored or reviled. I find it highly annoying and regressive to say the least.

Aren't you talking about bi-porn? I think it exists already.

I'm not talking about the sexual ghetto called bi porn. Besides, bi porn movies from the USA are as rare as hen's teeth these days. No, I'm talking about the hope that ordinary straight porn movies from companies like Vivid and VCA will start showing male-male erotic scenes in addition to what they already show. I suspect part of the reason they don't show these scenes is entrenched homophobia on the industry's part.

The industry teaches nothing. Hard to believe, but straight guys are not turned on by male-male. Straight guys account for at least 85% of straight porn sales. What is so hard to understand?

Grouper, do you think that straight women are turned on by the endless fake girl/girl scenes that populate hetero porn?

Male/Male scenes would be fine with me, but definitely nothing phony; we don't need the male equivalent of the above girl/girl scenes.

I think it's an incorrect generalization to say that all straight males are not turned on by male-male action. My experience in life is that some are, but that the straight porn industry teaches that none are. So I put the blame squarely on the shoulders of the straight porn industry. It's a very conservative, closed-minded industry in this regard. Heck, even in straight porn gang-bangs, even mere male-male touching is edited out by the lily-livered in the industry.

Are you implying that women watch porn?

Oops.. Nevermind.

Uhmm...this sounds weird to me. If you are a guy and get turned on by m/m action, frankly, I question your straight-ness. It doesn't mean you are like totally gay, but you may have bi-sexual tendencies; have you thought of that?

I generally agree with Grouper. Porn industry is about supply and demand. I don't think it teaches anything or is homophobic; it just makes what majority of market wants.

Tina Tyler's Going Down was made about 2 or 3 years ago, and is a worthy example of what I'm talking about. Before that, there was this straight porn movie made about 13 years ago with the delightful Candii Evans, a bombshell with short blonde hair. It was called Cabaret Sin. The whole movie had your typical straight porn scenes except for one where two guys got it on together in a threesome with a woman. I don't remember any horses being frightened by it.

I was just making the point that straight guys will not buy male-male. There is already too much fast forward material in the typical porno (e.g.girl/girl). Add a male-male scene and a huge part of the market will disappear, including me.
Homophobia has nothing to do with it, but I am curious as to why gays would want to invade straight porn.

Just like so many female porn performers in straight porn do girl/girl scenes (some with more enthusiasm and genuineness than others), it would be a good change of pace to see some of the guys in straight porn (not guys from the gay porn industry) doing girl/boy/boy sexual scenes, something really pushing on the envelope, where the two men are periodically doing each other.

arthur, if you want to see straight men in intimate contact with each other, watch any Double anal scene in a gonzo film. You'll see two men rubbing their privates together for minutes on end, albeit inside a woman's body.

I figure, if the two men are already doing that much, they might as well go whole hog, and have sex with each other.

Couple's films are somewhat odd to me - they're supposed to be for straight couples, yet a good deal of the footage is focused solely on the female performers' bodies, and too often those bodies have been surgically enhanced. I don't know that many straight women who enjoy gazing a a super slim woman with huge fake breasts. I suspect that there are plenty of men (i.e., Playboy readers) who do enjoy such sights.

How much gay sex can there be in a movie and still be straight porn?
If men are the largest portion of the straight porn market, then most porn is aimed at getting their dollars. From my experience working in a store, the huge majority is indeed men. Are all men turned off by gay sex? No, but most straight men probably are. Some don't even like girl-girl scenes. I think many would be unpleasantly surprised by a gay sex scene.
But the fact that transexual movies are also aimed at straight men says something.
If there was a perceived demand for it, more movies like you want would be made. Its all about the money.

I think you have not done your homework if you honestly believe that the porn industry is showing what they want to show and just doing it to influence what is purchased. Porn more than any other industry has shown time and time again it will go a long way to try and feed demand from the public, if there is a viable market for something, some studio will take off with it, and if that works others will follow, money and therefore sales are 98% of the industries driving force, and seeing as how there are these kinds of movies, I think you have to take a close look at the fact that they are not popular enough to support a mass production of them.

Honestly I don't see what the trouble is, there is an abundance of Straight, gay, and BI porn, so buy what you like. I think the industry is very representative of what is in demand in this regard, the vast majority of the people I know can easily get what they want out of the above main three genres, I honestly do not believe there is an enormous amount of straight men out there that are just dieing to see some good male to male sex in thier regular porn movies.

I also don't see there being a large number of the straight performers being in love with this idea either. I see no problems with any studio starting a line with these kinds of movies, I just do not think it belongs as more watering down of straight porn. It should be it's own genre is all I am saying.

For me personally I just have a large problem with it even further destroying straight porn. I don't like Girl on Girl scenes one bit, and I don't think they belong in straight porn either, but if you have 1 girl/girl scene, and then you start including a male on male scene on top of it, now you completely no longer have straight porn, and at best you have maybe 3 watchable scenes in a flick.

I'm not fucking paying 20 or 25 bucks for a disc with 35 minutes or more of completely unwatchable sex just because some people couldn't get off thier ass and buy a seperate genre of porn, that is my problem with it. I'm all for whatever someone wants to see in a porn, that is why I like all the seperated genres, but stop fucking with the genre I like, leave my straight porn alone and go get your own genre.

My gripe is not aimed at the fans who buy porn but at the straight porn industry itself. My view is that the industry is more conservative than the fan base. Earlier I made the comment that straight porn movies won't even show male-male touching (e.g. arm around the shoulder). If this isn't homophobic I don't know what is. Straight men put their arms around the shoulders of other straight men in real life, so why can't that happen in straight porn?

As for the bi porn genre, come again? There is very little fresh bi porn product coming out of the States. I suspect it's partly due to the fact that the straight porn companies won't let their starlets work with bi guys.

I mostly agree with Linus TR Fan's sentiments. Although I don't mind the occasional girl/girl scene, I mostly watch porn for the sexual interaction between man and female.I have absolutely no interest in seeing a scene in which men perform sexual acts on each other. Adding male/male scenes would totally alienate a large portion of the "straight" porn viewing audience, and it would hurt the companies. It has nothing to do with a porn company being conservative, something I imagine they would find completely laughable.

I really don't think that it is the companies holding back their stars from performing in bi-porn, its the star themselves. They just aren't interested.

I'm convinced this is either a troll or yet another person who is overruled by the vast majority of porn consumers. If there was a legitimate demand for that that type of depictions, then the industry would be more than happy to meet the demand. The fact that there isn't even a niche player that specializes in this content seems to speak that it's a limited fantasy.

I hate fake tits, bleached blondes, and lipstick lesbianism, but that stuff sells. Same thing.

Don't take this personal, and it is not an indictment of you, your tastes, or your porn desires, but you my friend, are pissing up a rope.

This idea is a complete non-starter. As others have said, from an economic viability perspective, what you propose has no chance of making money, therefore no chance of getting made.

In the practical sense, I can't imagine too many, if any, straight male performers would go for it, which means you want to import full gay scenes with gay actors into straight porn. I'd also agree with others that there would be little to no support for this among the straight male porn buying public. And even with the individual women who might have an interest in this, I think there would be far more who would be uncomfortable with it, or not care enough to make a difference.

From a personal standpoint, I am also one of the ones that fast forwards through 95 percent of the girl-girl scenes in my straight porn, and from a purist point of view believes that that activity belongs in the gay porn rack.(Maybe I watch if BOTH girls are big favorites of mine for their heterosexual performances, and even then, I'm watching the lesbian scene while gritting my teeth in irritation that my favs are being employed this way. Same goes for two girl, one guy scenes, which I'm not particularly fond of either.) But, all the girls in straight porn pretty much do this, including all my favorites, and it's been that way forever, so i just shut up and go along with the program with the knowledge that the vast majority of productions is gonna have at least one scene that I'm not fond of.

Male-male in a straight porn setting would be a deal breaker for me, and I feel on pretty solid ground opining that the overwhelming majority of straight males feels the same.

I think gay porn needs hetero scenes. And the obligatory girl/girl scene of course. Naturally bisexual scenes need to go in there.
It is stereotyping of the highest order to assume gay men don't want to see straight sex or two hot women going at it.
It would be more "progressive and representative". To make it more representative, the scene distribution should be equal to the percentage of the population that is straight, gay, lesbian, and bisexual.
Since the largest percentage of the overall population is straight, most of the scenes in gay porn will now be boy/girl.

In addition, the KKK needs to be more inclusive, the NAACP needs to make more than a token effort to increase earth tone membership (Hispanics, Asians, and American Indian), Vegans need to try more meat (we know they secretly want to , and soccor broadcast daily in every major American market.
Because, you know, people actually want these things in large numbers.

Don't worry arthur, I think I know a couple of filmmakers who might be going to make something a bit more adventurous than the mainstream fare real soon.

It's crap being a minority porn consumer!

This is kind of a funny thread though you know, folks request scenes with a girl thrusting a thermos flask up her twat, 45 guys drenching some woman with cum, double, triple, penetration of every available orifice...someone asks for the possible inclusion of a guy on guy scene and kaboom! Heresy!

And yes the "Couples" category of just about any major dvd retailer is a baffling place.

Arthur,

I find it very interesting indeed to see your posts here. Couldn't get what you wanted to hear in another popular message forum, so you decided to foist your views on this one.

Again, what did you get? Well, you got one person telling you "just you hide and watch" and a whole bunch of other people telling you that no matter what your personal views were on the topic, they were off-base and that most men really *didn't* care to see male/male action in their "straight" porn. And once again, you are missing the fucking point.

Your big complaint here isn't really with the straight porn industry. Your big complaint is with the people who put out Bi vids. I think you should be talking to *them* about upping their output. But no...it's all the straight segment's fault, and PORN is a stellar teacher. LMFAO Yeah, cuz we all get our lessons about life, prejudice, and sexual predilection from porn's teaching. It has NOTHING to do with how we're born and raised. Of course not.

And again, once people posted things that you had no comeback for, you shut up. Pattern? Yes. Intriguing? No.

The majority of straight porn as we know it is marketed to men because they're the ones that buy it. There are a few companies (more and more) who are making movies truly aimed at women who want their own porn with good-looking guys who don't have beer guts or assne. There are, it's true, more and more women buying porn and with that trend comes a few people who are willing to cater to that. Because those women are showing their cash in real numbers. You, on the other hand, are one person who has decided that since you can't have it all in one movie you're gonna blame the *straight* porn industry when it's really the bi industry that's let you down.

Look, killer. Either whinge to the people who make Bi porn and call them out on their pitiful release schedule, or make your own damn bi porn (or whatever your vision is) and experience the challenges that acompany that task first-hand, or go back to your therapist so you can cry about your newly validated persecution complex and s/he can up your meds.

One day there'll come a director who still views pornography as art and who will therefore not be concerned about supply & demand and maybe we'll get gay or bisexual scenes in straught porn. I've been waiting for this for more than a decade so I've stopped holding my breath. JKP once stated that they wanted to broaden the horizon of what was acceptable in couples porn. Apparently, they're not in a financial position where they can afford to do it, but I'm keeping my eyes open. In "Pink Prison" from Puzzy Power, which was straight as straight was, there was a simulated b/b at the beginning, which was better than nothing. An excellent film, btw.

I am fed up to the back teeth with the pervasive straight porn notion that female bisexuality is sensational but that male bisexuality is unacceptable - completely and utterly fed up to the back teeth. It's doubly galling when this double standard is sold to straight couples in the guise of the "couples movies" category. And that's partly the reason why I'm here - to make my points without getting personal. As for a straight porn movie with some male-male interaction not selling, consider this. If you put Jenna Jameson and other beautiful women in it, it would sell like hot-cakes.
