| BigBobxxx Senior Member 2681 Posts 5/04 | Just fill in these basics (or as many of them as you can). Send your contribution to: iafd@rame.net If we already have a movie and/or performer listed, do as astroknight suggested and click on the "Submit Corrections" button included on every page. Title Year: xxxx (note the 2257 date(s) if you don't know the release date) Actresses List: List names exactly (including typos) as billed in the movie. If you want to, you can tell us what special sex acts the girl performs. Look at the top of any performer's page and you will see which acts these are. Finally, it's very helpful if you tell us which performer in our database you believe someone to be. (Note: we have about 3,500 headshot pics now to aid in identifying performers... not for this Monica yet :) Actors List: Scenes: If you don't know the male talent's name (typically the case), we indicate the number of "guys" performing with the girl(s). Scene 2: Scene 3: Scene 4: Scene 5: etc. Edited by - BigBobxxx on 6/22/2006 1:41:53 PM |

There's a LOT of bad biographical information out there being passed around the Internet like a Christmas fruitcake. |

| techie Member 62 Posts 4/05 | I have submitted a number of updates/corrections over the last few years, some of them on multiple occasions. Sometimes I see a partial update, such as merging two listings together, but I still see blatant errors such as duplicate listings for the same video, with one listing being a typo, or a nonexistent performer alias that I was able to trace to a typo on a video retailer's website, that never seem to go away. (or at least seem to take forever.. the duplicate listing I mentioned finally appears to have been corrected, after being reported both by email, and via the new reporting system.)
I did a search, and the only reference I could find to that video, and HeaTHER St Claire was a typo on a single video retailer site (I seem to recall that the typo was only on the listing for the VHS, and not for the DVD, but I could be wrong..) The boxcover lists her as HeaVEN.. The listings have now been merged under Jenna Brooks, but the HeaTHER St. Claire alias lives on, and has expanded to even more listings, probably as a result of the merge. I just walked the listings, and came up with the following errors.. Real College Girls 8 - listed in IAFD as HeaTHER, reviews imply that credit should be HeaVEN. Boxcover has no credits. Strap-on Soul Sisters 12 - listed in IAFD as HeaTHER, boxcover says HeaVEN. I think this was the one I noticed to begin with. New X-Rated Sistas - listed in IAFD as HeaTHER, actual credit Bambi Bliss (I have DVD). Cum Dumpsters 2 (and 3) - listed in IAFD as HeaTHER, actual credit Bambi Bliss (as with ALL of her early RLD titles.) Brand New - listed in IAFD as HeaVEN, actual credit Bambi Bliss (DVD)(RLD) White Dicks, Black Chicks 1 - listed in IAFD as HeaTHER, actual credit Bambi Bliss. (DVD)(RLD) Wild Cherries 2 - credits are correct, boxcover link is to the same title (but different film) from a different distributor.
I'd like to see some form of ticketing system, where we get an auto-ack with a tracking number, and a way of following up on submissions. Either that, or some form of feedback that the submission was received, and feedback on why a particular update was not applied. |
| Jeff @ IAFD Webmaster IAFD.COM 931 Posts 6/00 | User A would e-mail the updates and either I or Peter would get to them. The inbox is about 1400 messages deep and I have yet to dig out. Some updates go back years and have not been done due to the sheer number of them. Othertimes I would make a change and due to the way Peter processed updates, they would be inadvertantly overwritten by an update. How its done now: Use submits a correction via a button which drops it into a queue which is monitored by 6 people who make the corrections as they come in. So far, knock wood, we've been able to keep up with the corrections usually the same day. Since we are no longer writing batch updates into the DB, there's no risk of corrections being inadvertanly overwritten. As far as a ticketing system for corrections goes -- I'd love to do it, but it's just not feasible right now. If there are any developers out there who want to volunteer to help implement one, contact me off-list and we'll go from there. Plus, the IMDB doesn't tell me when its made my corrections, so if it's good enough for them... :-) Thanks for your comments. |

| BigBobxxx Senior Member 2681 Posts 5/04 | On 6/19, you sent your correction in. Actually, two corrections. The Manuel Ferrara's POV 2 was taken care of. The Rocks That Ass #25 correction could not be acted on YET because we don't have that title in our database YET. Remember everyone, we do not enter individual scenes into our database. Rather, we enter complete movies one-at-a-time. |

The best thing you can do, when you notice that titles are missing from a performer's page, is to check to see if we have the movie the scene comes from listed in our database yet. If we do have the movie title listed, simply click on either the performer's or movie's "Submit Corrections" button and tell us what's missing. If we don't have the movie listed yet, you can still click on the performer's "Submit Corrections" button and tell us... but please be sure to point out that you couldn't find the movie listing either. If you have access to the movie, it would be very helpful if you would provide us with the information as I explained in my first post in this topic. |
