For example, I recall that if I had a movie with Sasha Grey in one scene and Brian Sherwood in another that IAFD would kick that forward as a pairing. The reason I ask is that I've been cataloguing my Max Hardcore collection and there seems to be some big gaps at IAFD. It appears that the "check scene pairings" tab may now only list scenes where the performers were together in a scene. Am I right or wrong on this? Now for the complaint, and yes, I know that IAFD is free and is an excellent database and I shouldn't whine about this, but does anyone else find it slow or just not working a lot these days? I can search for a model or title and sometimes it's fast but other times it is painfully slow and will even time out occasionally. It's like the server is powered by a gerbil in a wheel. I just posted a question looking for model/movie IDs and I might be able to ID it myself if IAFD was working today, but clicking on a model or link means seeing the blue wheel spin for two or three minutes. What you're remembering is "Credited With" which is a tab above, near the filter. In that box, typing in a performer will give you results back where they're have scenes together, or also where they're just in the cast together (which covers instances where we don't have any scene data for a given title) Things have stabilized in the past week or so. We made some infrastructure changes to help mitigate these spikes in traffic and server load. Where the site would be unavailable due to memory pressure or other issues, we haven't experienced this since we put the changes in place, so we're hoping we've turned a corner... |
