Hello, ImageKat! Thanks for your comments with regard to my whining and complaining about the Adam & Eve "Hot Shots" graphic.
Unless the icon is removeable, or can be turned off at the viewer's option, I am completely against ANY graphic on my DVD movies or programs, no matter how small or discreet.
The original artistic integrity of the finished movie is compromised for the sake of a featured novelty [i.e., a cumshot or change in angles] and it detracts from the viewing experience (yes I know that porn serves a "purpose" and is not really meant to be watched like a Martin Scorsese flick but bear with me here). If SEX ISLAND were meant to be a "virtual sex" flick like the ones starring Tera Patrick and Jenna Jameson, then I would not care. But SEX ISLAND is a feature movie (whatever its merits or success is a matter of opinion) and I don't like watching a movie while being reminded that it's also an interactive DVD.
In Metro's latest flick, MEMOIRS OF A MADAM, the company seems to have done away with any on-screen identification of its multiple angles (they used to use a "2ND ANGLE" graphic description which cheesed me off to no end). I wish that VCA and especially Vivid Video would do the same.
And although DVDs are getting cheaper and cheaper and are appealing to more of the great unwashed masses, I don't feel that Adam & Eve should have to pander to consumers who won't take the time to read the manual to see how their player works. If the viewer doesn't know how to use his/her remote well enough to get to a climactic scene immediately, well, I'm sure they will eventually find satisfaction without being guided by an icon.
So if Adam & Eve gives us an option to turn off the icon, then that would be swell [but please fix the glitch where the speed search buttons are disabled during several chapters], but if I had it my way, I would just stick to giving the viewers good solid transfers with everything else being [optional] gravy.

in this position, like the networks, would it still
bother you? Unfortunately we have a function to take
the viewer right to the main event, but if nothing
is there to tell them, how do they know? My point
being most DVD viewers are not up to speed on all
the functions of the remotes, and as we continue
to change what these functins can do it will continue
to get more murky.
