Here is just another example of sellers RIPPING OFF and MISLEADING the public! The latest review on here is "Fast Times at Deep Crack High 2". It scored high marks. Now do a price search on this. Fast Times at Deep Crack High 2. You will see the 2 lowest prices with RIP OFF shipping!Just look at the stupid shipping rates. I tell you what, if you are going to do buisiness, at least be honest. Come on guys, I have mailed many a DVD and it costs $1.50 max to mail it first class. Point being is that they are playing the shell game here. Why not give their best lowest price with real shipping costs? Don't try and low ball the price only to stick it up our ass on the shipping.

I'm editing your post instead of replying because your post is incredibly misleading. No retailer on our site is ripping off or misleading customers. You have all the information in front of you to make an informed decision on where to buy product. Enter your zip code or country code and you will see the best overall price. Stop these false claims about rip offs or no one is going to listen when a company actually does rip someone off. - Steph

Agreed that they should post a more legitimate cost, but even aftwe the higher shipping they are still well below the 3rd least expensive company, so at least they're still giving you the best overall deal.

I can't speak for those two vendors because I haven't bought from them...but at a place like XRent, shipping is $4.99 for 1 dvd, or in the case of my order, it was $4.99 for 20 dvds. If the guys you're talking about have the same deal, it certainly isn't a ripoff when you buy many movies.

Five Star has free shipping (Priority Mail) when you order 4 or more discs.

DVD Advantage has had problems using USPS (lost shipments) and has found the need to use UPS for thier shipping. Supposedly, the shipping that they charge is exactly what they are charged by UPS (the per disc shipping drops greatly when you order multiple discs from them as well).

The price of shipping is often a pain in the ass. Once you get familiar with the stores you learn at what point you get free shipping (if at all)or how many you need to order to keep the shipping minimal, per disc.

The last time I ordered from Xrent it was $2.99 for shipping (not $4.99)which they upgrade to Priority Mail for still only $2.99 for 4 (I think).

Adult Dvd Empire, like 5 Star, also ships free Priority Mail for 4 or more. They also will ship ANY order (even 1 dvd) free (but svc can be a little slow).

Also, once again (this has come up at least 3 times now), Dvd Advantage DOES ship Priority Mail to APO/FPO & PO Boxes for a flat $6.25. This has not changed, it's still in their shipping info & has been that way since I started dealing with them almost a year ago. Jon verified this the last time it was brought up. I think he even offered to ship USPS to people who DON'T have PO boxes if they email him.

Priority Mail takes 2-3 days (usually 2) to go coast to coast. UPS takes 5-7 days.

And where would we all be if we didn't have the resources available here at ADT? You'd have to go to each store's site and run a price search for every title you were interested in, then check & compare shipping costs. With the comparison cart, you can do it in minutes, and you get a total order cost, including shipping & tax. It's hard to see how any retailer here could be accused of gouging on shipping. If you feel their shipping rates are too high, use someone else.

Even with shipping added, every retailer on ADT is substantially cheaper than buying from your local adult emporium, if you even have one available.

Amen.

I have quite a few local dealers that sell porn movies, but I only rent from them. I always buy on-line because of price, even after shipping charges are added if they apply.

This would be a legitimate complaint if you were comparing apples to apples rather than apples to oranges. IIRC, the minimum rate for Priority mail (which Five Star has used for every shipment I've received from them) is about $4.50. $4.95 seems pretty reasonable and honest there. DVD Advantage uses UPS and charges you whatever UPS charges them. The $4 postage charge there is for an AVERAGE package, and from my experience with UPS isn't too far off either. If you're going to complain, please look at the information first so you can make a legitimate complaint.
