Kahn Tusion of Anabolic gave an interview to Rog where he defined what he thought porn was about. He said he wanted to show a bit a shame. An interesting thought but shame on him that he never followed through.

GGG defines what the gonzo is about in my opinion:

Ken Thompson pushes the envelope, but it is too bad that he has never learned how shoot a real movie. Lacking any video skills gives us a certain edge to the action, but overexposed bare bulb lighting and upside down heads make you kind of dizzy looking at this stuff after awhile. Extreme is Ok but it this is just too detached.

The Private (Woodman) formula on the other hand gets us involved with great setups and masterfull cinema and awesome women, but the porn gets lost in the scenery. If you want porn you will get bored after a while with them because the girls always seem to end up looking at the camera as some dude (stll wearing a part of his tuxedo) ejaculates a yard away from her smile. The most you can hope for is that a drop or two hits her left cheek before the fade out. Great stuff, but it not hardcore sex. Private movies are really just a Pepsi commercial with naked people replacing the metrosexuals, and cum replacing the sugar water.(To be fair, they sometimes do everything right but you will wear out you fast forward button on your VCR and have to rent dozens of tapes to find the winners with Private.)

Redlight, Anabolic and their imitator companies seem to have this disembodied dick formula for every scene. Have you noticed that nothing is ever done to the girl except constantly poke her holes with anonymous detached dicks ?

We never see the situation that she is in because everthing is shot close up, no male attempts to turn her on, kiss a tit, cunnilungus or even touch her. No face to face, in fact the rule seems to be no male faces or persons at all except for shaft. There is never any interaction between male or males and female or even reaction between them. Every scene is cut off usually after a wide angle zoom of her head which distorts her looks and can make even the most most lovely look ugly.
