Iam finding so many difference in today's porn with new actors and actress that are really good and miss the Angel, Hyapatai,Taija,Raven and many more the the olden days. Iam not into gonzos and 30 scenes in a DVD. just wanted to hear from the crowd. Also, i have learned from sites from which you buy movies one can download for a fee and watch so if that is the case and u are paying for it can it be copied. How many people rent by mail these movies? Thanks for reading "Curious George" wanted to know. [Link] |

Today you have everything from the soft romantic movies to the hardcore gangbang, bukkake, cum swallowing, and nasty anal performances. Back in the 70s and 80s it was a big deal if a woman took a facial or did any anal, let alone a DP. Gang bangs were rare. Also non-white performers were more rare due to discrimination. Without a doubt the volume of great looking women willing to get fucked on camera today is ridiculous. Back in the 70s and 80s the best looking women could make a decent living just stripping and didn't have to fuck on camera. Nowadays you have to do some porn to be a feature dancer and even then the money is not as good as it was back then. Add to that the large import of foreign talent from places like europe and brazil. The top older top stars like Seka and Annette Haven would have a harder time competing today based on their looks alone. I do sometimes miss the female pubic hair though. Today all the women shave so its rare to see a nice thick bush. Also there are too many fake tits I think. However, I would say the movies back then especially the ones shot in NYC and SF had a different look and feel you cannot get today because they shot them in real homes and apartments. Today everything is shot on a set or some empty porn mansion. Also the setups and acting leading up to the sex scenes were better back then because a lot of the performers back then were wanna-be actors some of whom actually appeared in mainstream movies. Also I think the women today have more of blatant mercenary attitude (i.e. strictly in it to get paid) compared to the more free spirit drugged driven culture back then. That's my 2 cents. (In the 70's productions were still being shot on film, which takes some real production budget and some skilled craftspeople to make.) Well-made DVD's are better than VHS tapes, period. Cameras, sound, effects, editing - everything has improved. Except the content. There are some very good features still being made. But even the cheesiest 80's feature tried to lay more groundwork in terms of their characters than most contemporary porn artiste's seem to. There's a function for wanting to know WHO that chickie is - what makes her special - that seems to have been lost since the VHS era. Strip, boink, next girl is the modern way - do that several times and print to disc. No wonder people make fun of recent porn: It accomplishes the wondrous task of making sex boring! It was also a real shock to me that old porn often deals with topics and kinks that are now seen as "too far out" for the modern boys. Older productions ventured into territory that apparently leaves today's porn producers quaking in their boots. How many years since anyone has released anything like "Taboo American Style?" Or with something like the golden shower scene casually dropped into "All About Gloria Leonard." There was also much tweaking of social targets like bluenoses, politicians, hypocrites, and so forth back then. This seems to have gone out of style. I don't think I'm just another geezer longing for the good'ol days. I think porn became LESS adventurous when it stopped being an outlaw frontier and became a megabuck Busine$$ - and when everyone from the Reagan to the Obama Justice Department then started taking idle swings at it when they needed a little bible-beater cred. |
