Some of the appeal might be to phase out real living talent. A deepfake won't risk saying something stupid on social media to piss off audiences and tank ratings/box office or say an opinion that alienates half who support an opposite political viewpoint. Porn will always be a taboo subject for some but younger generations who see it as no big deal will eventually become the majority of the public who could help normalize it. Who's to say some celebrities when they're too old and unable to physically move well won't want to cash in by giving permission for their "prime self" to be used in official deepfake porns.
