I put a few of the new pages up today for people to play with. They aren't integrated into the forum yet but will be within the next few days.

To play with them just go to your new profile page. Mine is www.adultdvdtalk.com/drew-black Yours will be similar. (all lowercase, dashes for spaces, no punctuation, etc.)

I haven't taken a new snapshot of the database yet though that shouldn't be a big deal.

I'll keep an eye on the error log but you can post problems, questions, comments here.

It's really nothing special. Just a better UI for some of the stuff that we have already. There are a few new features. There's a lot more that we were planning to do before launching it but figured it would be better to hurry along a preliminary feature set in order to re-open the registration process at some point.

The next things to be added will be the ability to embed images in posts, reviews and profiles. Then I'll finish the private messaging system.

Special note to reviewers about the new profiles: Look at the Profile Code page (link on the right side of the edit->about page.) There's only one special tag there at the moment: [reviews=reviewer-name]. It generates a list of the 10 most recent reviews from 'reviewer-name' and embeds it in the profile at that point. These kinds of special tags are pretty easy for me to create in the new system. So if people want to see others just let us know.

BTW, the new BBCode options and new smilies will be included in the forum soon too. I have to do a pretty major rewrite of the forum to handle it but I plan to get to it relatively soon.

When I was in my profile, I could not go from tab to tab, only from General to other tabs.
When I set access to private, I could not view my profile. I didn't send myself an access request.

When I try to update the new profile:
"We are sorry, the server encountered an error processing the page you requested. An error notification has been automatically generated and forwarded to the webmaster."
