According to the press reports I've read, her representatives are claiming that it's not Iggy in the videos. And as long as they maintain that position, it can never be released, because if she claims it's not her, she doesn't have the authority to allow the tape to be released. That said, I don't think her people are being truthful. Steve Hirsch and Vivid seem to have cornered the market on celebrity sex tapes, and they've been at this a long time. If the person in the video wasn't Iggy, they wouldn't waste their time trying to reach out to Iggy and negotiate. I'm bet it's her on the tape. That said, I sure hope it gets released. Iggy has a great ass. I think it would really help her career.

I read somewhere that her team (or someone associated with them) is no longer so sure that it's not her but they are now claiming that she was underage at the time and therefore it is child porn so no way this will be released. I don't care if the video gets released or not but I can't help and wonder what this will do to her career if it does prove out that it is her and that she was underage when it was made. Especially if she was younger than 17. Not that being 17 and having a sex tape won't seriously hurt her marketability with young women.

^ Take the following rumor with a bag of salt but rumor has it that she is not underage in it and the only thing she is currently considering is whether it's a bad thing or a good thing for her career. We may never know the real story if the video does not get released but if it does than we can be certain that Iggy was not underage and that she authorised the release.
I don't think it will have much effect at all on her career because at this point in time sex tapes have lost their scandal strength because there have been so many of them. Then you have to consider that her audience thrives on badgirl/badguy images and "street cred" so it's not like it would be happening to an artist/celeb who's career is built around being sweet and clean cut like a Disney star. Lastly, her talent and her being in demand at this point is too strong to be damaged by any tape.

Iggy Azalea was definitely hot-as-fuck in that video for "Fancy," although I do wonder just how hot she is without makeup. I can't help but think that her "no makeup face" is significantly different from her face that we see all over TV now, with makeup. I don't know the American laws on this but if she was underage whoever filmed it was making child pornography if it's true then even owning such tape is a crime. If she claims anything like that she forces him to either confirm it's her even the date it was filmed. The second clip should be with Hefe Wine

^ Yup. The only thing negotiating tactic he really has if she's just saying no to the idea of the tape as opposed to haggling over a number is to say something along the lines of "If you don't release it, there's a chance the tape will leak anyway, and you'll get nothing out of it". But I don't think Steve would stoop that low (although it wouldn't totally surprise me if he did).

You do have to wonder if circulating "underage" rumours might put a dent into the sale figures though. Not everyone is savvy to the fact that the porn distributors go to great lengths to ensure the legality of their offerings.
Maybe you know or someone else will but I read on another site that the guy looking to sell the sex tape could release the video without her signing up on it because she (supposedly) already signed away on him using her image while he was her manager.
^ All that would mean is that Vivid legally owns the tape and the dude has the right to sell it without her. It would basically be the equivalent of a model release, but, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, they'd still need to get some ID from her specifically because of 2257 regulations. ^^ And as far as the underage thing, I think most people would realize that if it makes it to the point that it gets released, that should mean that she wasn't underage. If any company would ever release a "celebrity sextape" without the right paperwork and permission of the people in it it would be trivial for the "celebrity" to stop the distribution and most likely get some people jailtime. Doubt that, AFAIK pornsites still don't carry the porn videos Traci Lords made after she turned 18, even on pirate boards she's taboo. ^ That's what I was getting it. Throwing around the possibility of it being underage material has a certain toxicity that's hard-to-impossible to get rid of afterwards, even if it was 100% incorrect. If Vivid releases it, they wouldn't/won't do it without definitive proof that she's over the age of 18 (in fact, they can't), and you can be absolutely sure that if they have that proof, it's going to be plastered all over TMZ and every other website that's willing to post it (especially since Vivid actually has a good relationship with TMZ). They will make sure that everyone knows that she's not underage.
^The fact that you have to ask probably means that Vivid wasn't able to get a deal done for the sex tape. That doesn't mean that one day it won't surface again but regardless what people may think of Iggy as a performer. She is still a big enough celebrity to garner huge paychecks from just appearances so a sex tape will not make her more money than the appearances and is likely to cost her some gigs.
