It wouldn't allow me to burn SVCD's for my .avi and .wmv files, so I went back to Nero 6. After a rather frustrating time attempting to convert .wmv, (divx).avi and (xvid).avi to mpeg with various programs that allege they can do this, I decided to re-install Nero 7. So far, it's made me a couple of excellent DVDs from .avi files. It is supposed to convert .wmv to DVD files as well, and I had a go at it, but it got stuck on one .wmv out of a long list, and I had to abort. Shall have another go at it soon. If it does work, then it'll be the best darn rootin' tootin' fallootin' program ever!  [Link] |
| tmd5 Member seika izumi 502 Posts 6/04 | Posted - Nov 15 2006 : 1:45AM It rarely crashes on me and don't even remember if it ever has. Nero 6 did quite frequently. I use mostly Nero Express and then use Nero Vision to make DVDs out of my MPG files i've captured with my Hauppauge PVR-250. I also like how with Nero Recode I can pretty much turn any video file into something Ipod Compatible. I don't like the NERO media player and never used that ever. I used WinDVD for playing movies. I like that the most out of everything i've tried.  [Link] |
