I hate when you hit "eject" and 15 seconds later, the thing finally ejects the fucking disc. what the fuck could it possibly be doing for 15 seconds when all it has to do is move a disc a few inches? And then, when you put a disc in, the little LCD thingee reads "loading" for like 15 seconds. I can only imagine how early adopters of DVD technology felt. They spent literally hundreds of dollars on this machine and the goddamn thing can't instantly load a disc or spit one out before you start wondering if it's stuck or something. 2008 and this is what we get. They can't even make a decent remote control anymore. I guess they forgot how. Or maybe it's the iPod craze carrying over to everything else. Soon, I'll need a keenly sharpened pencil tip just to hit "play". And when I do, it'll play after the obligatory 15 second waiting period. Are all DVD players this clunky and badly engineered or is it just my cheap ass shit? [Link] |

Are there possibilities to change i.e. the language using those 4 buttons on the front? What bothers me right now real bad is the parental lock. When I try to play my "Dreamquest" DVD I have to type in the code after every title/chapter change although it is turned off in the main menu... BTT: I own some DVD's that have the ads in the menu, why can't everyone do that? That way you can watch the ad if you want to... [Link] |

The US §2257 made an international "career". In some europorns, we have to watch these laws, or the national equivalent, in every european language. The longest 2257 intro I had seen was running nearly 5 minutes, it was impossible to fast forward or skip this.
