The new text is in boldface below. This one is important:
Why is this important? Many Kickback shoppers like to use Adult DVD Empire's order status features to add items to their intital order. These additional items are not tracked through the Kickback program and therefore do not qualify for Kickback credit.

The entire operating agreement can always be found here.

So, does this mean we must have all items in our cart before transfering it to the store to qualify for kickback credit?
And is it for all participating stores, or just Empire?
Thanks,
Blondie

It's not a function of the cart transfer.

Adult DVD Empire has the unique feature of allowing a user to add/remove titles from unshipped orders using their standard customer profile pages. You can log in to your customer profile on their site and add items to an order than has not shipped yet. It's a big convenience factor for some people because they don't have to go through the hassles of the entire checkout process to place another order.

This presents a problem for Kickback orders. It's entirely possible for a user to place a Kickback order through DVD Empire's site and later go back to Empire's site to add additional titles to the order. The additional titles are not associated with a Kickback tracking ID because the shopping session did not initiate at ADT. Empire also explicitly states that items added to an order in this fashion do not qualify for affiliate commissions. From section 4 of their affiliate agreement:

This is the real root of the problem for us. Since ADT is not being compensated for items added after the initial order is placed we are unable to issue Kickback credit for them. (If we did we would have to discontinue the Kickback program because we would be broke.)

DB - you can still add items to your cart once at the store - as long as you click thru a kickback link you will get credit for the whole order.

you just can't add items after the order has already been placed.
