| Drew Black broken crankshaft 8011 Posts 9/99 | I received a note from the folks over at DVD Advantage today informing us that they will be discontinuing the +50% Kickback Redemption bonus incentive effective August 31st. If you want to take advantage of this great offer while it's still around please have your Kickback redemption requests submitted no later than 8/27 to ensure that they are processed prior to 9/1. | Drew Black broken crankshaft 8011 Posts 9/99 | I completely understand their decision and agreed that it was the right thing to do. Their coupon structures and pricing encourage large orders. It was fairly common for customers to redeem $100 in Kickback credit, getting $150 in return and then place a large order qualifying them for another 12% to 15% off the order. Planning pricing structures to account for this type of thing can be very restrictive. Discontinuing the +50% offer will enable them to be more flexible when planning new coupons, promotions and specials. Edited by - Drew Black on Aug 7 2002 |
