It seemed really popular in the 70's and 80's, but it has really gone away. Does anyone know if it is going to make a comeback? Perhaps a remake of taboo? Does anyone know good titles?
I don't think it will ever make a comback. Maybe the occasional movie. Remember, towards the end of the Taboo series, the supposed relationships weren't even so close. "I was your father's room-mates second cousin."
Gonzo is the current mainstream, so talking (needed to set-up and communicate the relationship) is often absent.
The features market is probably not going that way.
In addition to the movies already listed (I always thought that the Taboo: American Style movies were fantastic.) there was a Rob Black movie a few years back called Moral Degeneration that was really good. It's step-cest and similar detours to actual family-boffing, but the movie itself is outstanding.
Ever since Kay Parker "fucked her son" in the original Taboo, it's been downhill ever since
The issue with incest-theme movies is that you need to have the tease and set-up properly laid out for them to have any power. You can't do incest in today's gonzo world and have it mean anything.

I agree that Taboo was a masterpiece, Big Bob, but I disagree that it was all downhill from there, since Taboo 2 is superior to the original Taboo. In the original there was just mother-son sex, but in part 2 there is also father-daughter and brother-sister. Plus, the orgy scene in Taboo 2 is way cooler than the orgy scene in Taboo 1.
You can make a case for Taboo or Taboo 2. fair enough.
How about the real point of my post:

This scene sounds hot and from the looks of the rest of the film and its fantastic casting it should become an instant classic! The inclusion of Mary-Kate and Ashley together with Ron Jeremy is great.
I’d like to pitch the following to the director with the hopes that they make a sequal spoof parody featuring a Mary-Kate and Ashley Holeson incestual family romp along the same lines.
I’m thinking a similar toned sex-ed family teaching session could be both very shocking and arousing. The parents giving the girls the sex-ed discussion while their prom dates sit and watch stunned. It would be quite comical seeing the dates squirm aroused as the girls take a love batter across the face for the very first time, moments after we get to hear the twins say “"give me some of that Daddy batter!" I’m not sure if a gratuitous cum swapping by the girls is a bit too taboo.
Something hopefully to consider for a sequel! In the meantime eagerly awaiting this one.

I just saw that DCypher's new Taboo is coming out. It takes place in the future where lust itself is outlawed and therefore sex itself is what is taboo. Not sure if there will be any incest in this one. I think that since incest is one of the ingredients that procesutors use to deem something obscene, many adult companies have shied away from incorporating simulated incest into their films.
Taboo had the advantage of being a feature in an era when porn often tried to look like a real movie (with sex). So they spent the time setting up the circumstances, and tried to make it somewhat realistic--the hestitation, the doubts, feeling torn with what was going on. (I'm only talking about Taboo, I never saw T2). It worked, but they had the time and the interest in doing it.
That goes back to the original question. It was more popular in the 70s and 80s because you could make it more realistic, because you were making features and you could spend the time setting it up. The "problem" with incest is you have to convince the viewer that the actors really are closely related, because unless they're identical twins, there's no way to tell. If you just say, "this is brother and sister" and they get it on, it looks like any vanilla sex scene. If you spend the time selling the idea that the actors are brother and sister, then put them in bed, it's more likely to work.
