I tried to use the <S></S> html format, preview was showing me that it works, but the forum didn't do anything.
Am I to stupid or does it simply not work?

Generally, html code does not work in the forums. The forums use a similar code, but utilizing the [ ] brackets. The preview will show the html code okay, but not the forums.

If you submit reviews, then the html code works the way you want it to.

which purpose serves [.code][/.code] ?

The only thing I used it for, is to include ascii pictures correctly.

There's a bug in the preview page. It doesn't use the same html stripping/forum code processing function that's used when the post is committed to the database. So sometimes the preview won't match what the post ends up being. This is especially true for embedded images.

I wasn't able to do stuff with "code", I don't know for which purpose it's for.

I thought things like [.code][./code], should give you the same as [.I][./I]. without the "." of course

So what is the purpose of "code"?

it changes the font to a fixed-width font [/code]

I guess it should work better but it doesn't.
