When you pop a dvd into your player it automatically starts counting on the display from zero upwards. If you press the "TIME" button on your remote , it will then show you the time remaining in the first chapter/scene (i.e. -00:10:42), if you press the "TIME" button again it will show you the time remaining in the movie (i.e. -02:05:23), if you press the "TIME" button again it will tell you how much time has elapsed in the chapter/scene you are presently watching (i.e. 00:00:26).
Every time you hit the "TIME" button it will tell you how much time has elapsed in the entire movie, how much time has elapsed in the chapter/scene you are now watching, how much time is left in the chapter/scene you are now watching, and how much time is left in the entire movie.
It makes it easy to know how much time is left in the scene you are watching and how much time is left to go in the entire movie.
Every mainstream movie has this feature and probably 90% of porn dvd's have this feature enabled. To not have this feature on a dvd is not good. It is very simple to implement and the viewer expects it on a dvd. To not have it shows a certain laziness in whoever authored or mastered the disc.
When I pop the Internal Combustion disc into the dvd player it only tells me how much time has elapsed in the movie, if I hit the "TIME" button, it only says "NO TEXT" (text means the title of the disc, sometimes when you keep pressing the "TIME/TEXT" it will tell you the movie title, but that's not important) if I hit it again it goes back to telling me how much time has elapsed in the movie.

You need the have these times marked on the dvd so that the viewer knows:

how much time has elapsed in the movie
how much time has elapsed in the scene
how much time is left in the scene
how much time is left in the movie

It's real simple, almost all of the porn dvds have this and have had it for a long time.

As I said before, If this is something we've overlooked and is of genuine concern, we'll fix it but, with all due respect, why are these things important? If I'm watching a DVD of this movie or a DVD of Star Wars, why do I care how much time is left in a scene or in the movie? If I know the movie is 2 hours long and I started watching it at 10pm, do I need my DVD player to tell me that it will be over at 12? I'm sure I don't watch as much porn as the consumer ( I see it live most days) but when I do, none of these things ever cross my mind. Having said that, I don't buy my own titles, you do and because of that you are much more important than me. You should feel that you got your money's worth.
Is this an issue with anyone else out there or does M.B simply have an "elapsed time" fetish? Any and all input is very much appreciated.

The fact that this dvd does not have this feature won't affect my buying it or not. However, the whole point of dvd's is that it is NOT vhs. DVD has more features for the viewer including the ones I listed earlier.
Any dvd put out now should have this feature, it's not a difficult thing to include on a dvd.
If all of the other well known companies have this feature (Red Light, Anabolic/Diabolic, Evil Angel etc the list goes on) don't you think it would be a good idea for a newer company like Zero Tolerance too?
When I pop a dvd into my player and see that it doesn't have this simple feature, it makes me think less of the compnay that made it, almost like they don't care about the dvd, or that they don't care about the viewers ease in navigating their way through a disc.
It's a small thing, but it shows the viewer you care about the overall product.

I think it truly sucks to put a DVD in the player, and when it plays, there is no time displayed. Of course this doesn't mean much, but I like to know how much time I've wasted watching a DVD.

Or on some DVDs, a few that I've seen, there is no display, whatsoever, also not good.

This is no where near a technical answer, or even a coherent one, but if it makes sense, good.

Just the "supplemental" time coding is not there, the title coding is there (overall running time of the movie).
Each scene is it's own chapter and you can skip to the next scene by hitting the "NEXT" button on your remote, it's just that they are not time coded.

As for having 6 scenes versus 5, I dont care about quantity, its ALL ABOUT quality. Id rather see 2 or 3 really nasty scenes featuring REALLY hot girls than 6 with mediocre girls. If it means paying some super hot babe triple the day rate most girls get, it will be worth it in terms of sales I think because, if she is not one of the "usual suspects," her pic on the boxcover should move some units!

1- In long scenes I want to be able to go back to a precise moment for subsequent viewings, if the feature is not implemented it's not possible.

2- When reviewing/assessing a disc it's useful to be able to know how long each scene really is. It's also a good way to check if a movie advertised as 180 minute long on its cover is actually 180 minute long.

Of course I'll buy the DVD if it lacks this feature and the content is good, but from your viewpoint wouldn't it make sense to release a product that looks first class in all regards, even technical, rather than a product that could appear to some customers as clumsy and unfinished? If you want to be a top studio, then make sure EVERYTHING is right!

Marks off for that, I am afraid, but I was pleasantly surprised by the movie in general, seeing as the theme is one that I don't usually care for. More in the usual detail later.
