with Internet Only, i came to know deep throat 1972
with Internet Only, i came to know stars like ron jeremy, John Holmes etc
i never saw pics of ron jeremy, John Holmes in newspaper or tv channels.
so what's the truth?

In some ways yes, in some ways no. Prior to the internet, porn was available in adult stores and behind the curtain in video stores. As a consumer, you were stuck with whatever your area had. Movies were incredibly costly to purchase. With the internet, the ability to rent many titles available, buy from a variety of stores, read reviews, and utilize VOD sites has opened up the marketplace. On the other hand, the rampant stealing of material and putting it up for free on tube sites can not be helping porn.

The truth is that the people who produce pornography are not helped by the fact that you know about Deep Throat, Ron Jeremy or John Holmes. They are helped when, and only when, consumers buy their products.
In that regard, you may wish to claim that the Internet provides free advertising, and this may be true. However, the internet also provides the means to get a great deal of pornography without paying the producers anything for it. That advertising doesn't do any good if it doesn't translate into increased sales.

Well, not exactly, the companies that own Deep Throat and titles that Ron Jeremy and John Holmes were in are helped through potentially increased sales, if he buys any of these titles.

Again, increasing awareness of a product does not help the producers unless that awareness translates into sales. Ralph Nader may have increased awareness of the Corvair but he didn't do Chevrolet any favors.
So, sure, you can find out that Dolly Does Daisy is a great porn movie via the internet, but if you go to PiratesOfPornzance and download it for free have you really helped porn?

That's why I said if he buys any of those titles. No where has he stated that he is illegally downloading films. I know that through members here talking about movies and reviews that go up, members at AV Maniacs, IAFD, IMDB, podcasts, EGAFD, and advertisements from the companies releasing movies, the titles I know about and are interested in seeing have drastically increased, which for me means so have purchases. Prior to the internet I basically only had Patrick Riley's guides to direct me toward films and the advice of those who owned the mom and pop video stores.
