If there are this much lines straight interracial that means there's a big market for them and i don't think this much people are all afroguys with whitegirls fantasies , there are a lot of interracial sites not only W/B but also Asians/black o A/W. So i don't think IR shot can affect the industry but it is true that many stars don't do IR
Speaking for myself i do like IR scenes if well done , I buy porn movies for actresses or particular line (JJordan's FH and WOAD series or Rocco for example) so it isn't very important who's the stud for me.

I don't think adding bigots to those already against porn hurts at all. In some ways it even helps, once they open their mouths.
On the buisness side, there is plenty of non-IR porn out there to buy or rent. The volume of porn being produced is so much that inevitably the larger niches take the appearance of being the mainstream.

of course we have heard that doing scenes with black guys hurts girls' careers. does anyone actually have any proof of that? for the girls who are catering to the bigots out there i just shake my head. one would think having a racist label tagged to you would not be good for one's public image.

I think the concept of IR hurting a girls career started with Jenna Jameson. I don't think it's her fault, but alot of girls look up to her and will model their career based on the choices she made. I remember in the 90's she was on Stern and he ask her about fucking blacks guys and she said she didn't or wouldn't do it. Now everytime and pornstar comes on his show he asks if she does black guys he goes on about how he "heard" it can hurt their careers. Also, there was something mentioned about feature dancing in the south and other places where they believe alot of rednecks are. Anyway, I think it's stupid and women like Ginger Lynn, Traci Lords, Jewel De Nyle, and recently Teagan have not been hurt by doing IR at all. But to be honest "IR" isn't the issue, It's white women having sex with black men. That's what people really mean when they say IR. No one gets their undies in a knot when an asian or latin women fucks a white guy.

But by having an IR category of movies they are appealing to a fetish, it seems to be mostly white males who have to have an black male star having sex with young white girls, to me that’s bizarre, i don't watch interracial porn i just watch porn, i don't give a shit what colour the dude is he's just a tool for the job.

I just found it strange rather than scary. I had no idea that it was a problem for some until I came to ADT and saw how many threads there were about it.
My choice of porn is mainly influenced by the women in the scene. If they are clearly enjoying themselves the scene is hot. The skin color of the guys is not an issue.
Monica Sweetheart, Tiffany Mynx, Taylor St. Claire, Angel Dark, Jane Darling, Julie Silver . . . If doing 'inter-racial' impacted there careers I don't think they noticed. Tiffany Mynx did inter-racial very early in her career too.
What I don't like about the seperate IR category is that often the black porn stars are grouped in their own movies. I primarily rent/buy based on my favorite stars, but then by the rest of the cast (looks wise). That is how I first see new (to me) porn stars - rest of the cast. If they aren't in general porn, my chances of seeing them are less. I might take a chance on a rental, but probably not on purchases.
Robert Lombard, who's a casting director for many softcore movies you see on PPV & Cinemax, once explained that as much as he wanted to incorporate black performers in his productions, it hurted foreign cable sales. Some foreign markets won't buy a softcore movie if there's a black guy in it. I suppose the problem is the same with Vivid & the main cable soft-porn providers. A sad state of affair, but an economic reality.
I have to admit, the whole idea of IR as a poor business decision (in fact the thought of IR as an "issue" at all) never really occurred to this Black male until I saw all the threads (and often hostile comments) here at ADT and elsewhere...
I can sort of see the business end of it IF in fact doing so could have some major negative impact on careers or sales in certain regions. However, it appears that this may in fact be a falsism just being reinforced by the actions of some unknowing and overly cautious marketers and performers. It seems to me that those who would object do probably not represent a large enough market share to have affected the careers of so many other successful females.
I will also admit to not being overly attracted to sme of these supposed IR based lines due to the fact that the casting is usually entirely Black. I kinda like some diversity in my discs. Black Women with White males is starting to become a little more visible, but I yearn for the day when the casting is varied that one doesn't really take notice of what exactly the race and nationality combinations are.
I'm especially gratified to see this thread get so far with decent, thoughtful and thought provoking responses with none of the trolls coming out that seem to wait in the corner, salivating at the thought of ruining another interesting exchange on racial matters in the industry...
it would be nice if Johnni Darrko could do a good interracial film with not only black males in it but black women as well. as I said in a previous thread just find Steve Holmes who has said he enjoys black women as well along with a few other open minded white males who aren't going to worry about it as a career ender. Sandra Romain and a few gorgeously talented women like her as well, and even some Hispanic women to make it a TRUE interracial film.
if Darrko did do this it would be artist and hot, so there wouldn't need to be any compliants from either side ... hopefully.
