No! Arthur is alive and well. In fact, I just saw him two months ago. He gave me a box of imported dates. Very nice guy and he sure can tell a great story, as Jacco mentioned.
Yup. And more great releases are being worked on besides the Metzger films! We [meaning my lab] just finished up a new HD scan for another long overdue DVD release. Expect some surprises later this year, as well as a 'grindhouse' line for lesser known films or titles for which pristine elements do not exist. Keep checking the Distribpix blog for updates. ^ Great to hear of upcoming surprises -- I look forward to them. So many of the early works are either unobtainable or can be found only in butchered versions. Is the intent to continue issuing uncut versions of everything (assuming uncut sources are available)?
