I'm from Europe. Probably that's the reason I don't understand the whole fuss about IR.
Isn't it just sex, no matter the colour of the skin of the performers?

And why is the sex referred to as IR almost always sex between a black man and a white woman? Do Asians don't count? Do black women doing white man don't count?

Some months ago I read on another forum someone calling Jenna a racist because she never did IR.
On the other hand I read that people look down on women who do IR.
Why?
And why are people so glad about girls who in the autumn of their careers finally give in to do IR?

Looking forward to your answers.
But please don't use this thread for a flamewar.

Juhar , you ask a very good question...and the fact that you're European is probably why this seems so silly to you! It should be silly to all of us!

Unfortunately, this is still a very race-sensitive country. Because of that, there are alot of hypocracies that will always exist - and you seem to have already noticed most of them. Just as there are those who hate seeing the races mix, there will always be a crowd that enjoys seeing IR just because they know it pisses off the other crowd! And, like anal sex, there will be those who enjoy it because they view it as "dirty" or "taboo" - thus guaranteeing that the stereotypes continue.

Basically, the simple answer to your question is that IR is a big deal in this country because there are so many people to ehom race itself is a big deal...wish that it weren't so.

technically, ir does include any combination od races - asian, latino, black, white, green, or purple. in practical use, though, the industry historically has paired black men with white women. again, it is probably because of the taboo factor. lately, however, there has been more of a true mixture, including black women with white men, black men with asians or latinas, etc....however, even here the emphasis is on black men . that could also be becuase the industry is so male-driven, but i could not say definitvely.

im sure you will get a lot of other opinions on this. be prepared, lol!

I like IR but not because it's "taboo" or any of that shit--just for the contrast of colors between the male/female parts.

Personally I think these discussions are a waste of time. You can't change the way certain people think.

My advice would be to appreciate the girls who do IR and ignore the ones who don't, it's better that way.

why? its a crime not doing IR? what if there are persons who are not physically attracted to most black people; are they racist? i don´t think so. Is racism to reject doing IR because it damages your "career"? definitively it is. But i think the industry today, ruled by gonzo, works in that way you describe and rates much higher the performers who do IR (IR bashing companies like Vivid are totally out of touch) Who are the only american males who regularly travel to shoot in europe? black ones, because it doesn´t matter that 85% of euro girls perform like dead meat if the black male-white female taboo/fetish is present. Its a fact also, that girls who start doing IR continue doing a lot more of IR; in quite a few cases mostly IR

Someone once pointed out to me that because there are so few Asian men in mainstream porn, practically everything an Asian woman does in mainstream porn is interracial.

Not sure how that fits in the debate, but I just find that interesting.

i love IR scenes, even as a "fetish", but can´t stand titles like "white slaves" and that kind of stuff. I know is porn but...

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in ;-)

Nobody said it's a crime but we paying customers have our own choice if we want to avoid interracial-dodgers or not. It's their body they can do whatever they want with it BUT it's also our money and we can do whatever we want with that also. I personally avoid them because that's my choice besides, the girls who avoid interracial scenes don't make the kind of movies I like anyway so it's no big deal for me.

It is a very good question.

I think it's referred to as IR because they're marketing a particular type of sex. I think this is the way most titles are designed. It's just a label. You want to target a specific audience, you make a film that focuses on what they would like, and then title it appropriately. That way folks in the video store can figure out what it's about and what kind of sex it contains by simply looking at the boxcover.

I don't know why some girls won't do IR. I would hope their decision is based in their own sexual preferences and not some bias, but I don't know. And if performers do indeed get looked down on when they do an interracial title, that's fucked up.

More like 95% probably. But the Euro girls are way hotter than homegrown talent, are up for anything and do IR like it were going out of fashion. Reason enough I guess.

Two fantasy themes prevalent in IR are "the seduced woman" and "the reluctant whore"... both of which are a turn on to me regardless of how cliched it is or the skin colour.

I don't care "what" the performers so it's no big deal. As long as they're attractive, enjoy themselves and film a good scene.

Thanks for you answer
and for wishing me luck.

I think I get a notion of it now. The whole thing roots deeply in American history.

Thanks to all other posters on my first thread too.

I'm white but my favorite genre in pornography is the interracial theme, mainly black men on white, Latin or Asian women. I especially love seeing barely legal teenies taking on black slabs of meat in all their sweet holes! To me, thats the Holy Grail of Porn.

Would white girls who do black men yet won't do asian men either on film or private still be considered racist?Does doing interracial mean you should be willing to do men of all races?

I heard some white girls say they can't be racist because they love black men yet won't do asian because of the way they look. Does that make sense?

Without going into a long, historical discourse, I'll just say this.

Others may have told you, either here or in other places, but as an black American male married to a white American female, (22 years in July), I can tell you that the number one, "hot button", social issue in the United States, is, has been, and probably always will be, race and race relations.

Anything that speaks to people's racial psychologies and sensitivities, will always generate lots of emotion in the United States. Add the highly combustible component of sexuality to the racial discussion, and you've got guaranteed drama.

From all points of view.

Actually, the rule is only girls can be racist. If a white or black guy refuses to do IR, nobody gives a shit, unless he admits that it's because of looks. Then, of course, he is a blatant racist, possibly even a redneck, which is much worse than being a racist, and will earn him a lifetime blackball in Hollywood.

I always found the use of the word "race" interesting, since there are no seperate races of human left.

That said, at this time many of us are mutts. This is especially true of the eastern european populations. So any sex they have, hell - even maturbating, is "inter-racial".

Juha, if you want to get a better context of why the IR thing is a big deal in the U.S. think of it this way. I think that in Germany, if a German girl screwed a Turkish man in Porno movie there might be some emotion stirred in some of your populace. I hate to mention the connotation but it's there. It would be the same if a Japanese woman screwed a white male in a Japanese porn movie, and so on, and so on.

AsianP, thanks for your answer.
But I don't think that's a big deal in Germany.
It's a little different with Turkish girls. They are expelled by their families, but not because of the IR-aspect but because of doing porn in general.

But I remember an incident that made German porn viewers running like nuts in the stores.
Some time ago a Turkish actress won the award for best actress at the biggest German film festival in Berlin.
Then the yellow press found out she did some pro-am-videos in her past. It was a huge scandal! She had to excuse in public.
The DVDs which were not even minor successes in the past sold like crazy.

Incidentally, Wicked's new 35mm-for-cable release, Shameless, features an interracial scene with black male performer Tyler Knight and a blonde white woman. As far as I can tell, this is a first for Wicked - just a fluke or the start of a trend? Time will tell.

Nice thing about Tyler - he's not bald, has no tattoos, and his cock is shorter than some of the white guys in the movie. It's clear that someone at Wicked went out of their way to go for a non-stereotyped, non-correctional facility look.

I believe in freedom of speech no matter what kind of crap comes out of ones mouth. And I feel the same way about so call IR. We all know the definition of IR sex. So what the fuck do it matter if the guy or girl don't want to have sex with some other race for whatever personal reason. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and choice in this kind of decision. Anybody open to IR sex is just plain doing something they have no problem with and I applaud them for being color/ethnic blind. Then again it could just be the color green. Anyway! No matter the color of the woman the pussy is always pink, smells and feel the same.

This topic is discussed on Howard Stern often. Many of the girls claim that they make less money on the feature dance circuit if they are known to do IR. These are stripper/porngirls who "headline" at stripclubs in small towns. They claim that the agents who book feature dancers into these venues keep track of who does IR and exclude them from certain clubs or offer less money because of it. Stern often asks if this is only in the deep south and they always answer that it is all over the country. I don't know what the excuse is for porngirls who do not "feature dance".

Was it a contract girl he was cast with? If not then this is nothing Vivid or Digital Playground has not been doing for many years. It seems like all of these white companies keep away their white contract stars from IR but when they have a minority contract starlet then 99% of their scenes are with whiteboys.

Why should they need an excuse? It's their personal choice, and if they aren't comfortable with doing something then good on them for not being bullied into it.

As an european i also feel that "IR" is very much an american issue.

I mean, I understand the social aspect of it, and that the exploitation of a social theme may provoke strong emotions.

I'm not saying there is no "race" issue in euro-porn, but it seems to be such a small deal compared to all the things attached to IR is US, that it is not even relevant.

The thing i can't seem to grasp is that:
Personally, I don't like black male performers, the main reason being (i think) that i can't identify with them... the girl ethnicity however never seem to be a problem for me (as long as she's good looking that is ).

So while i understand quite well how a black audience will enjoy watching black male performers doing girls of all ethnicity, i just don't get why american white men seem to be more turned on when they watch black male doing white, asian or latino girls.

Can someone care to explain this ?

I speak for myself but I'm a white european guy too.

I don't mind at all if male performer is black or whatever the only thing that count is that male performer must be bigger than me , I need to see that it isn't real but only a movie , i feel uncomfortable if a porn is too much real because i feel like a voyeur , those people hiding among the shadow to look for couples ad watching at them when they have sex , I hate those things.
It happens every time i see a performer with a penis smaller then mine or equal. Besides what i like more in a porn is girl's attitude so who the male is make no difference for me

i don't know if this make sense for you but it is

ANTI-POP -

I think your perspective of American white men being more turned on when they watch black males doing white girls may be a little too broad and general. If that were the case, there wouldn't be the backlash against these girls that there is, and the issues of IR sex wouldn't be what they are.

When viewed from places like in here, (within ADT, or other places where real, dedicated pornaholics congregate), you're gonna find white males, who know what they want, know what they like, are comfortable with their personal proclivities, and more importantly, are more tolerant of the proclivities and fetishes of others. And they may also find kinship with others who share their fetishes, (i.e., white guys, who enjoy seeing white girls fuck black guys. Or at least they aren't threatened, intimidated, or disgusted by it.) I think these types of attitudes and outlooks are to be expected in a porn room. At least I would hope so. So you see what looks like an inordinate amount of white guys who like interracial porn. And truth be told, it ain't ALL black people that are buying interracial porn. So it does look odd.

But, I don't think that's necessarally the reality in the greater expanse of America. Even in situations and circumstances where the races peacefully co-exist, America is still a pretty polarized place. And a significant portion of America, black and white, is still not comfortable with IR. And a very vocal segment is disgusted and outraged by it. And a lot of these good ole boys, go to strip clubs. And many of them are unhappy if they know their favorite white dancer has been three-holed by Slayer, Napier and Steele. And the girls, and the venue operators, and sometimes porn producers, hear these people.

Enlightenment, freedom of choice and the absence of pressure to conform to a social norm, is more likely to be found in the world of porn than in your standard American community.

Refuse:

The whole point of Vivid / Wicked / VCA not having black male/white female sex scenes in their made-for-cable porn was to 'avoid offending' the racist fan base of the South. Such a base does not discriminate between a white contract girl doing a black man and a supporting white female performer doing a black man.

VCA was bought by avid interracialist Larry Flynt, so it will be interesting to see what happens after the remaining backlog of vidoes made under the Russ Hampshire regime has been issued.

Vivid only broke their own rule on two or three occasions, but it was with that tattooed, bald Mr. Marcus, whose 'Oz' look plays up to certain negative stereotypes.

Does Digital Playground make 35mm films for the cable market?

It's very interesting that most IR-fans who post here are into very rough sex, using terms like "pound the hell outta her", "destroy her ass", etc.

No wonder that the companies who serve to the couple's market avoid IR.

BTW, no offense, but focusing on rough IR in my opinion really reinforces the stereotypes about black men in white people's minds.

I'm really looking forward to the Wicked release mentioned in this thread.

Interracial gonzo porn isn't rougher than all-white gonzo porn.
The feature companies avoid IR because the gonzo companies don't avoid IR? That doesn't make sense to me.

I don't like reviving old threads, but it's better than posting a new one on the same topic I guess.

For the record, I don't like IR and I avoid girls/titles/companies who do it. I totally agree with the UK poster above - I don't identify with black males. I want someone who I can identify with playing the male in my vicarious fantasies. That's why I find white fans of IR so mystifying.

This may offend some people, but given the fact that IR and its fans offend me, I guess things balance out.

There is hardly any need for either. There are recent threads devoted to this topic all the time and yes, there was a current one going when you decided to bump this one.
A clue: I don't identify with anybody on screen when I watch porn.
You go from 'don't like' to 'offend'. It seems to me you are crossing a line.

I also sometimes wonder why so many porn titles have to emphasize the whole IR aspect. But then I realize that porn is a business. And like all other businesses, marketing is essential. Just like porn companies have to market their titles in all other niches, such as anal, oral, gangbang, teen, etc., they also have to market their IR titles to people who are interested specifically in that niche. It's all just marketing, nothing more.

Report to Miss Parker wrote

This is very political and much more deeper than we can probably go into here. For one thing, I cannot think of a single white male performer who does not or has not done IR. Every major white male performer that comes to mind has done at least one scene with a black woman. However, I can think of a few white female performers who have made it a clear policy not to do IR.

As I said, this is very political and is deeply rooted in the racist history of this country, which I will briefly try to describe without going to deep. One of the stereotypes that has historically been used to denigrate black people in American society was the notion of all black people being promiscuous, hypersexual creatures (in addition to all the other stereotypes created). There was a reason for this stereotype. For one thing, it meant that white masters could continue raping their black slaves and not feel guilty about it. After all, how can you rape a woman who wants sex all the time?

Black women were stereotyped as always wanting sex from any man regardless of who the man was. Therefore, white men viewed black women as completely accessible to them sexually. Even if the black woman was married, her husband held no rights that the white man had to acknowledge or respect. And as terrible as it may sound, this image of the black woman still holds true presently, even if subconsciously. This is why it is highly unlikely to find a white male performer who refuses to have sex with an attractive black woman. After all, it's not as if they have to marry the black woman, just fuck her.

Likewise, black men, also stereotyped as hypersexual, were therefore seen as uncontrollable lechers who preyed upon the supposed innocence of the pristine white woman, who was the image of purity and gentility. White women had to be protected from the lecherous black men at all costs, even if it meant by lynching, castration, or any other form of barbaric brutality.

While white men viewed black women as sexual property to which they could have access at any time, white women had to be guarded from the threatening black man. It was the equivalent of the white man telling the black man, "I can come into your property, but you can't come into mine." This is because women of all races were viewed as men's property, but that's another issue.

But anyway, again, just as the exotic image of the black woman still holds true, so does the image of the oversexed black man. While white men were socialized that it's OK to fuck a black woman but not to actually respect her, white women were socilaized to avoid black men entirely. And if a white woman said she was raped by a black man (which was frequently claimed as a form of vengeance or power by vindictive white women), all it took was her unproven word to find the accused black man dead the next day, even if 95% of the time people knew she was lying. Thus, you can see these attitudes still alive now in porn with these "actresses" who refuse to do IR for no other reason than their personal bigotry.

As for me, I refuse to either rent or purchase any movie starring a girl who I know has a policy of not doing IR. I don't care how good she looks or how sexy she is, that company will not get any money from me for that movie. Although I will not name the names of "actresses" specifically, I also have a mental list of those girls who, if I see their photo or name on a boxcover, I put the video back and move on. Just like I will not shop at a store or patronize a business that I know is owned or operated by a bigot, I refuse to spend a cent on any flick that I know stars a chick who is prejudiced against black men.

And as far as white male performers being racist is concerned, let me just clarify myself by saying that just because a white guy has sex with a black woman does not make him non-racist. My previous comments explain that. We can also see proof of that in the likes of the late Strom Thurmond, Thomas Jefferson, and the all the other white men who were fucking/raping black women while yet supporting the continued oppession of black people. For example, I cancelled my subscription to bangbus.com for the sole reason that I found it to be racist (I believe this for reasons which I will not go into here because it will take up another whole page). Suffice it to say, I will never subscribe to that site again, and I'm glad my membership there was only a trial one in the first place. But I digress.

Hmm...revives one thread on the confederate flag, another to critique IR films...You can tell a lot about a person by their company.

Sorry about that, I didn't exactly search carefully. Good thing is it isn't the end of the world, just another bumped thread. :)
