It's interesting to actually hear it from an actual performer. I totally understand what you're saying. If an agent tells a new girl something or gives them advice it only makes sense to listen. You have to figure that they must know what they're talking about and they must want your career to flourish because if you don't do well they don't do well. But at the same time I'd have to think their advice on this matter is flawed because as some people have pointed out there are plenty of examples of girls doing IR from the start having solid thriving careers and not having a problem with longevity. I have seeen a few girls/women who do IR for their websites but not many if any for general release so there are probably more girls out there like you than we realize. In any case...with me it wasn't so much about the girl not doing IR that bothers me as much as the lame excuses they give. While I have to imagine there are girls like you that really wouldn't mind doing IR but just haven't yet but plan to so as a career choice, there are some that have no intention of doing IR and just make up weak reasons why they don't. I don't think everyone sees it as a "fetish" but realistically that's probably what it still is in the minds of a lot of fans, girls, directors and studios mind. I had thought/hoped the success of it had moved it beyond "fetish" and into the "norm" but I guess that's not really the case. Fortnuately, not all the fans, girls, directors and studios see it in that light so perhaps one day everyone will see it as the "norm". But if I had to be completely honest I'm not 100% sure I don't see it as something of a "fetish" myself and I'm black. [Link]

I just can't see Brandy doing IR, anal or anything other than safe and easy "vanilla" sex scenes. Hmmmm...I guess I can understand how some people would think it's a big deal if Brandy T. did an IR scene for the first time just because it was something new. I just personally think the excitement wouldn't last long because when all is said and done Brandy's such a "ho-hum" performer her IR scenes wouldn't be that big a deal. Besides, who'd want those type of asswipes for fans anyway?
That part of the audience can make a huge difference in traffic to a website. It can mean more work from different companies. More fans coming to see that girl when she does dance. If a girl can bring in big numbers to a club in the eyes of that club that girl is a superstar and she can get more money from them. The club owners don't care what fans coming to a show as long as they spend money.
People use the old line of "she should only bang people she's comfortable/attracted to/wants to". That's all bull because most porn girls do tons of guys they aren't really attracted to. We all could rattle off a list of guys that I'm sure no girl is swooning over when they walk down the street. The "size" thing is a cop out because not every black performer is bigger than every white performer. And as far as girls only doing stuff they "want" to do is laughable. What I was trying to say though is that things like the "big cocks" excuse are kinda bullshit since, while it may be true that most black performers have bigger dicks, it's not true that they all do, and there are certainly white performers with massive dicks as well... so if the agents were really worried about dick size for the girls they might say "don't do anyone over 10 inches for the first year" or something like that, instead of saying "don't do black guys."

First of all, thank you Cassandra for responding candidly and setting the record straight. I was not aware that your B/G career had been so short. I apologize if I offended you. I usually don't jump to conclusions about people not doing IR until I am sure they've been in the business a while.
The fact that you are inclusive in your personal life is cool. That works for my fantasies until we can hopefully one day see you perform IR on screen.
For the broader subject, I will say this: I have come to realize that like it or not, Interracial is considered a "fetish". While this may seem absurd or insulting to black porn fans, the simple fact is -- we do not control most the dollars in this industry, nor do we make up a significant percentage of the consumer revenue. These facts alone mean that our wills and desires are not what is driving the presentations and attitudes of IR sex in this business.
I believe there are different aspects of sexual arousal at work when a black man sees an IR scene as opposed to a white man. Granted, these are broad strokes and of course, certain white guys and black guys may not fall into this easy pattern. But IN GENERAL, when a black man sees a hot interracial scene, he is thinking: "Wow, this girl is hot! That could be me there fucking her. That black dick is MY black dick! She's really into me!". There is also the visceral appeal of the contrast of black against white (and to be fair some white fans of IR like it for this reason too).
For many white fans, the sexual arousal is slightly more cerebral. They are getting off on the notion that this hot white girl is allowing herself to be more of a "slut" by having sex with what they perceive to be a lower class individual. The appeal is being a voyeur to the sexual debauchery and defilement of a beautiful, virginal, white flower. THAT is a fetish. And THIS is why IR, to the white fan -- who is really the target consumer of the majority of IR producers -- is on the same level as anal, DP, DAP, etc. Its not about a hot sex scene with someone who happens to be black. Its about something nasty being done TO the girl. They are not watching it to fantasize about being the guy -- they want to see a sexy girl take a fall.
These types of attitudes contribute to career strategies that promote holding back IR for market reasons. The same way you hold back on anal, DP, etc. For the record, I agree that anal, DP, etc.. should not be done right away for a starlet looking for a long term career. But of course I feel differently about IR. My argument is that if you've got the goods, you will get the bookings -- whether you take black cock or not!
But again, I am just making perceptions as an outsider. Somebody on the inside, actually working day to day in the industry, is going to make decisions based on the reality they see around them.

Thank you very much Cassandra for chiming in and being honest about this topic. It's interesting to actually hear it from an actual performer.
I totally understand what you're saying. If an agent tells a new girl something or gives them advice it only makes sense to listen. You have to figure that they must know what they're talking about and they must want your career to flourish because if you don't do well they don't do well. But at the same time I'd have to think their advice on this matter is flawed because as some people have pointed out there are plenty of examples of girls doing IR from the start having solid thriving careers and not having a problem with longevity.
I have seeen a few girls/women who do IR for their websites but not many if any for general release so there are probably more girls out there like you than we realize.
In any case...with me it wasn't so much about the girl not doing IR that bothers me as much as the lame excuses they give. While I have to imagine there are girls like you that really wouldn't mind doing IR but just haven't yet but plan to so as a career choice, there are some that have no intention of doing IR and just make up weak reasons why they don't. If they don't want to do IR that's fine, I just wish they'd be more honest about it.

Tritone made some great points that I guess I've had in the back of my mind but just didn't want to believe because in the past few years IR movies and scenes have increased and been so succesful. I don't think everyone sees it as a "fetish" but realistically that's probably what it still is in the minds of a lot of fans, girls, directors and studios mind. I had thought/hoped the success of it had moved it beyond "fetish" and into the "norm" but I guess that's not really the case. Fortnuately, not all the fans, girls, directors and studios see it in that light so perhaps one day everyone will see it as the "norm".
But if I had to be completely honest I'm not 100% sure I don't see it as something of a "fetish" myself and I'm black.

The thing I’m having trouble with is why do some porn stars choose to leave ir as the last thing they will perform?
