I've been with BushDVD for years with virtually no complaints. When they did added the rapid return feature it became even better and I upgraded from my 4 at a time status.
But it seems that suddenly in the last month I continuously have open slots for days at a time. I contacted customer service and they explained that I have 6 titles that were rapid returned so I have to wait until they are received until most ship.
Well that isn't how things have been done for a long time. In the past I have had 6 titles rapid returned and within 24 hours six new titles would ship.
Did they recently change a policy or something? I was just getting ready to drop Sugar DVD and upgrade my Bush DVD account but now I'm not sure.
Is anyone else having the same problem recently?

Let me just say that we have never throttled shipments...ever. If we had any intent in doing so we would never have implemented Rapid Return which speeds up delivery.
This is the Rapid Return policy:
Guaranteed 2-day return delivery.
When you drop your movies in the mail you can notify us by clicking the RapidReturn button in the queue. We will ship the next available movies in two days. If we receive your returns before two days we will ship your next movies the day we receive your returns.
We must receive the movies in the RapidReturn section before the next ones become available for RapidReturn.
You mentioned that we ship your next movies within 24 hours. That has never been the case. We always ship in two days unless you Rapid Return on Friday in which case the two days falls on Sunday. Since we don't ship on Sunday the next DVDs would go out on Monday.
If you are on the 4 DVD plan the maximum amount of DVDs you can have out is 8. Twice your plan amount.
I hope this clears up any misunderstanding about Rapid Return.
We appreciate your business.

Jason, what happened to the "rating" feature ?
On the home page it says please rate the DVD's you've returned, but there's no way to do it, the stars are gone.

Jason, this is simply untrue. If Rapid Return falls on the same day as Rentals Received, Same-Day Shipping is negated. Thus having to wait an extra two-extra days for the next available Queue to be shipped. And if one never enables RR, no films will ever be sent until one clicks RR. This system is flawed, and is actually slowing down the shipment process. BUSH members are being deprived of more rentals per month. Particularly those who reside outside of CA, as it normally takes 4-5 days to receive rentals. RR is nothing more than a canard, and should be done away with ASAP. Please stick to same-day shipping.
