Hi, Iam thinking about seriously joining "Videobox" for a month, but i checked their free 20 seconds previews. The pix was not the greatest, is downloading better than streaming? Iam new to this so any help is really appreciated. Thanks ahead of time for your time and help.
I don't know about Vidoebox specifically, but many video sellers offer a choice of medium quality or high quality or super quality (or some such scheme using different names or numerical definitions). The idea being you, the viewer, can decide the trade-off between file size (and therefore download time) and video quality. It depends on whether you plan to watch the video on a tiny smartphone screen or a gigantic 80-inch LCD TV screen or something in between. Also keep in mind that the free 20-second preview is not necessarily the same quality as the actual streaming video for paying customers. High quality video costs more money than low quality video; so maybe Videobox is using low quality for the previews. Usually, the purpose of video preview is to help you to be sure about the scene before spending money to buy the high-quality version, or before spending the time to download it if you are already a member. I always prefer downloading to streaming. If you download something you then own it, so you can watch it again and again, and you can burn it to CD if you want to watch it away from your computer, etc. Sites like Elegant Angel and Zero Tolerance offer real bang for the buck when it comes to joining and downloading (I'm sure others do too, those are just ones I've been a member of). If you've got a favorite director or a favorite actress, joining a company specific site can be a real value. Picture quality is super sky high too, and that quality remained when I would burn a scene onto a dvd. (How can I not want to watch Jenna Haze on my big HDTV? I'm not made of stone.)
I was a Videobox member for a while a couple of years ago. I downloaded a whole lot of movies. I'm no longer a member and I still enjoy watching the downloaded movies. I always downloaded the highest quality version available. Computer storage is really inexpensive so file size wasn't an issue. And download time wasn't really an issue either, because I'd download the movies in the background while I was working. Also, the video quality of the movies I downloaded was fine. I sometimes play the movies on my home theater - a projector and large screen. It looks just fine, I have no complaints about video quality. I didn't watch any streaming movies so I can't say if it was better quality. I can't imagine that streaming quality would be substantially better than the downloaded movie quality.
it's pretty much as simple as right-clicking and 'save target as'. there's really nothing to it. videobox also allows you to make & download custom clips, which can save a lot of space and time if you're only interested in a part of a scene. like, if the facial is the only thing you really like out of a forty-minute scene, you can download just that bit. also, you can filter through their vast library of clips for niches and fetishes. it really is a wonderful site in my opinion, and almost too good to be true for the value. while they may not offer the newest releases on street date, they are pretty up-to-date. videobox is like having an adult DVD store at your fingertips, a store that you can re-arrange and organize to your liking with the click of a button. don't be surprised if you go on a glorious binge the first couple of days...i worried if i'd ever leave my house again, once i signed up. to speak to your specific topic, i prefer to download, but i've noticed no major differences in quality between that and streaming. you can also create your own stash on videobox, to which you can add all your favorite scenes or movies. have fun, and enjoy.
