He's in ipretty much every softcore cable movie I see these days. I'm just wondering if he really is a good actor or are most of the other porn guys just so much worse by comparison or does he have a following and putting him in movies cause those movies to sell more? I have no idea if he's a good actor or not because most of the time I see him he's playing over the top. Is he a good actor? [Link]

Therein he does a competent job, seems funny and amusing. So I would go for "Yes". I may have missed the porn movies with complex, lucid scripts with subtle and nuanced characters that would require a different approach, so I cannot judge his ability to craft such a performance. Anyway, my opinion is that, comparing to many others (sorry folks, not anyone was born an actor), he has notable acting skills. Seems easy to work with from all sides with a wicked sense-of-humor and a love of women and sex. As an all-around performer, I think he's one of the best going. I still recall the first time I watched Pirates, and finding Evan Stone to be charismatic and silly in a good way. He seemed to completely understand the role in terms of tone and timing. I think that equates to being a good actor. [Link]
