Can anyone confirm if Lensman is Manuel Ferrara? Makes sense since Manuel Opens Them Up is the new title. Couple of questions, why not just promote Manuel on the new roster of JJV directors? What does this mean for his Evil Angel contract status?

If it is Manuel, it might not effect his status with Evil Angel at all. While Mick Blue was directing movies for 3rd Degree he was also directing for Elegant Angel under the pseudonym Grazer. I don't see why Manuel couldn't do the same thing.

Manuel Ferrara has also directed for Marc Dorcel while being an Evil Angel director, a scene for "Orgy XXX Championship 2" (2012) and recently the upcoming movie "The Orgy Initiation of Lola", and has put his name on the product. No need for a pseudonym.
I don't think it would necessarily mean anything for his "status". Other EA directors are directing for other companies as well, e.g. Mike Adriano, Dana Vespoli...

Here's why I think it could be him. The first title is centered around him, Chris Streams is the only other director who has done this at JJV. The shooting style seems similar, Streams might be the cameraman as I think he has been sometimes in past Manuel directed films. Also, he tweeted out a link to it which I don't see him do all that often for movies that aren't his. The pseudonym doesn't make a ton of sense if there is no EA conflict, but I think it could be him. JJV is certainly one of the few companies he has a really tight connection with (by his choice).

The only thing that would make sense to me is if the point of the pseudonym is that even if it is him now, but it might not always be (i.e. bringing in different directors and having them shoot under that name), but even that doesn't make much sense.

Directors use pseudonyms all the time: sometimes to appear as if they aren't flooding the market; sometimes because it is different than other material they are shooting; and sometimes for reasons only known by the director. It certainly wouldn't be new or odd.
