Since this is a RLD/PXP thread being read by some insiders. . .
Will you please stop putting watermarks on your DVDs? I stopped buying new DVDs from RLD/PXP when they started putting watermarks on them, and only bought ones that were released before RLD/PXP started using watermarks. It hurts the directors who don't use watermarks as well, because I often don't have a way of knowing whether or not a DVD has a watermark and I don't want to take a chance. For example, I stopped buying POV Pervert after the 1st few because I thought that they might have watermarks. I didn't find out that they didn't have watermarks until Mike John recently told me. (I know that he is no longer with the company, I'm just citing him as an example).
I have all the early volumes of Cum Swapping Sluts (1-7), 1 Dick 2 Chicks (1-3), and several other series, but stopped buying them because the watermarks spoil all my fun.
For me, watermarks killed RLD/PXP. Other companies can survive without using watermarks, so why can't RLD/PXP?
So please, get rid of the watermarks and bring back the good times!

Isn't the purpose of the watermarks to reduce piracy?
I don't think watermark will help prevent piracy as no ways against free porn on Internet yet. I guess many porn fans will now switch to download porn thing from some Porn forum.
Ohh...da dwama..da dwaaamaa. Yeah the web site has been sucking, and yeah it will get fixed. It's constant fuck-ups has been a serious issue to all of us. I personally am sorry to any of our fans who have been trying to follow our releases, view trailers, etc. by going to the site. It's been driving me crazy for a long time. Hopefully the new people who are going to be running it are good and it will be fixed soon. As for why I haven't commented sooner to this "piling on" session, what does a guy say to a bunch of people saying, "You suck"? "Do not"?..to which you would reply,"Do to". "Do not"...."Do too." See what I mean. Nobody really believes RLD/PXP is "dying", do they? We sell thousands of pieces of every title we release, and we release 16 titles a month, so some people must like what we do. I have a friend who is an obsessive porn fan but the only stuff he's interested in from us is "Good Source of Iron". Multiple facial cum shot titles do nothing for him. Cum farting, couldn't care less. He doesn't even care if the sex is anal. All he cares about are multiple loads of cum deposited in the girls mouth and seeing her swallow it all at once. He will always be a fan of Brandon and he will never be a fan of my stuff. Oh well. I'm O.K. with that. I'm just happy that he gets what he wants. Some people like my stuff...some don't. Some people like RLD...some don't. Oh well. I'm O.K. with that. Can't we all just get a bong? Oh, the water marks are no more. Of my titles, Assault That Ass#9 will be the first one without them. What a stupid idea that was that the former GM had. "It's to stop piracy." Yeah, brilliant, since a pirater just runs off copies of the "watermarked" version. Duh!

You are singing sweet music in my ears! Thank you. You are one director who I had been interested in checking out but hadn't because of the watermark. I like the way the women look all dolled up on your DVD covers and I will now watch them in action. Thanks again!
I can't tell you how happy I am to hear this. Initially, the argument for watermarks was to prevent online piracy. I don't know whether watermarks had any effect on that or not, but I don't care. I wasn't about to buy DVD's with grafitti on them. In the past, at least the directors who owned their own product had final say over whether a watermark was present, so at least we had a decent idea whether there would be a watermark or not. More recently, the watermarks had become the rule rather than the exception.
Not to complain or anything. But is it me or are the "new" RLD trailers really bad. They don't show anything now. And they are like half to 1/3 the time they used to be. Now its pretty much 1 min of the camera zoomed in on the girls faces while they are moaning. They also show alot of breasts. But nothing from the waste down. How the hell am I supposed to tell what kind of scene it is. Unless it is stated on the box or in the title. I guess I can't be as impulsive as I was before when buying RLD titles. When I watced their trailers before, I got pumped to buy the movie(if it looked good.) Now I guess I have to wait for reviews.

Geez dude, it's a friggin' trailer man, how long do you want it to be? It's porn, not 'Star Wars: The Next Generation' or something. These things weren't meant to detail every last scene. They're to give you an idea of what the movie is about, and the female talent involved. If it didn't at least have that, then I'd see reason for concern.
Two to four minutes is perfectly normal, because it's only a PREVIEW,...a teaser...a virtual fluffer!! Something to get you hard, and then end abruptly so you MUST go out and actually spend $$ on the end product!! I'd rather see the uninterupted version anyhow. It's like watching a made-for-TV version (including commercials) as opposed to seeing it on HBO. A trailer need not include every last act being performed just so the viewer knows if they'll want the title, IMHO. For example, the link above is a 'BIG titty flick by Juan Cuba', it has the cast list on the cover. What more do you need? Do you expect to see anal, DP...if so, why? It's a flick about BIG TITS...they could be titty-fucking themselves into oblivion for all I care. Anything else is a "bonus", not every scene in every movie needs anal, DP, swallowing, etc.
Considering that PXP doesn't have their website setup like Elegant Angel's, whereas you need a username/password to login & view/download the trailers, perhaps there's some mild protection consideration being given so that minors don't get their hands on the trailers?

lol. You must skim through my posts when you read them, because you are always quick to attack them, but never understand them. I Never said the trailer was supposed to be epic or really long. The "fact" of the matter is that the trailers used to be 2-3 min long. Now they are 1-1:27 sec long of absolutely nothing. I mean I can get the female talent off the back of the box. So what the hell is the since of having a trailer if you aren't going to show anything. Oh wait I'm sorry. What's the since of making a trailer that zooms in and shows the girl moaning for 1 min and nothing else. I'm sorry. But I'm not that easily excited. So come on man. At least make a valid argument on their behalf if you want to jump to their defence.
Also I didn't mind the trailer for the boob movies that much. But I would have liked to get a taste of the movie/scenes before I decided to buy it. If you buy your movies based on the box cover and cast list alone then more power to you. I need a "little" more incentive then that. And again. As I said before. I'm not really complaining. I just felt it needed to be said. This is a forum, where people share their opinions right.
As far as them "protecting the children". Its not their jobs to protect the children. Its their job to offer warnings and restriction notices. But not to raise other peoples kids for them. That job is for the parents and the parents alone. Besides that's what parental controls are for. But that's another topic for another forum. Plenty of websites offer trailers, without having to register. Including one of the biggest with Evil Angel. They have a ton of like 3-5 min trailers that get their point across, without showing a ton of footage. They just have great marketing skills. They know how to push their product.
I think this pretty much sums up what I was trying to say.

It's about about protecting yourself against relentless hassle and lawsuits, being recklessly pursued by the current Administration, who are using the false "protecting the children" excuse to justify their reactionary view of what the First Amendment "doesn't" protect (yet, the "right to bear arms" is viewed by these same scumbags as sacrosanct).

Considering the titles for 95% of the gonzos today do you really need a trailer to figure out what kind of scene it is? Titles like Cum Fart Cocktails, Assploitations, Double Decker Sandwichs, etc.(I know they are not RLD titles just using them as examples) are pretty much self explanatory. It's not like they are naming their releases We Don't Really Know What We Shot.

OK, so the last one is pitiful, BUT even in that short time, they still managed to squeeze out the cast. Not only that, but I'd say they give a general idea of what the movie is about. That is, for those who can't at least decipher as much from the title and/or series. Matter of fact, consider 3 minutes of video transferred to 48 hex 720 could be rather large in size. I have some personal clips that exceed 150MB for 45 seconds of footage. Granted, I'm no expert, just based on personal experience.
Most of the trailers I'm viewing, at least on the PXP site, went top-to-bottom with a viewable cast of the girls in various sex acts (which was honestly more accurate than the he/she who worked some pages). You seem to expect a trailer to spend 2-3 minutes on EACH GIRL, when the scene itself barely lasts 20-25 minutes, if that. With due respect to Brandon's trailer for 50-to-1, I wouldn't expect a cast list for such quantity. The trailer is just a brief showing to give the viewer an idea of what to expect. We all know what the movie is about by now. It's not meant to get the viewer off, it's just a teaser...it says "buy me". If it doesn't offer what you're satisfied with, go to the movie theatre early and watch the "upcoming film previews" which are probably going to be longer.
You're argument is without merit honestly, rent the movie if you like it, prior to buying. Honestly, it seems like you want the trailers to present 20% of each scene to you, in order for you to make a decision. The trailers are purely a bonus, producers & companies need not even go to the trouble. The decision making process isn't that involved - it's porn, people fuck, end of story - unless you're going to war or something. All the necessary information, except for those who want more & more content for less, is present as far as I'm concerned. I don't know if you noticed, but there is no animation on the back of the box, it's just photos.
You're right, it's an internet forum. Tone of voice can't be understood from a keyboard. But what sounds like complaints are often viewed as complaints. And while all of us do it at one time of another, I just can't stand those who do it constantly. There's no "defense on my behalf, only common sense. If you don't like what you're see, or what is available to see...don't buy it. If it really makes that much of a difference within RLD/PXP, they'll change something if it's not too late.
I'd love RLD if you could skip over the 1-minute FBI intro crap like you can with Evil Angel dvd's .... so annoying. But at least they don't force phone-sex ads on you like Vivid. Bleah, Yuck.

I agree, I can't stand the "no FF" restriction, it's seriously annoying, esp. when I'm already impatient just to get to the main menu. The downside to DVD...
Jewel never was a decision maker for PLX, but only for her lines period, she gets a percentage of her deal thats it! David is the guy calling the shots and for the obvious reason! Jewel should be lucky that Dion formed a company and brought her onboard, everybody goes through rough times and she shouldnt bash the people that brought her into the game.Why hasnt she bragged about the good times?? its real easy to kick people when their down and like it was said " misery loves company" so that should answere some questions re; Jewels remarks, and if its so shitty their I would dare her to leave and start up her own Dist.Co , never happen in this day!! If you watch any of my trailers, either from RLD or PXP, I think you'll get a pretty good idea,"what kind of scene it is". No. There was a time where Jewel owned a percentage of PXP. According to ADT, she and Michael Stefano both owned 25% and Dion and his brother both owned 25% (Jewel & Stefano were married to one another at the time).
I don't know this for a fact, but I would bet that Jewel and Michael both had some say in the way that he company was run. Hell, Jewel's father was the GM of PXP. But, since Dion & his brother were the business guys (and because any company has to have a person who makes the final decision when there is no consensus), my guess is that Dion & David had the final say on matters.
After the problem with Dion, David became the majority owner. Subsequently, David bought Jewel & Michael's shares in the company to become the sole owner.
However, some of the directors with both RLD & PXP own their own product. They use their own money to finance the movie and RLD/PXP just acts as a distributor for those director's (taking a percentage of each movie sold). Both Jewel and Brandon work with PXP in this manner. I know that there was a time when Jewel also hired other directors to shoot movies for Jewel D'Nyle Productions, which were distributed by PXP in the same fashion. Kylie Ireland is the first one that comes to mind. However, I don't think that Jewel currently has other directors working directly for her and is now concentrating solely on her own movies.
I agree. Your trailers are good. But at RLD website all th trailers have been *censored*. Which makes no since as anyone can still view them and see tits and girls talking abou sucking dicks etc. So either you should have to have a credit card to view trailers period. Or you should be able to see the trailers in their full *uncensored* form. Maybe you're right though. RLD is probably doing his on purpose. Probably to keep kids out(which is as I said before retarded. Even though they don't show explicit material anymore, they still show a ton of breasts and talk about sexual acts. That's not very protective.). Or maybe to get Credit Card numbers. I don't know. But if you head over to RLD's site and watch the trailers you'll see what i'm talking about. Hell. It seems its even starting over at PXP. View the first handful of trailers, and then view the last. See the difference?!?
Bill is correct on this matter. I own and direct my movies and when we merged the distribution was taken over by RLD. I have sole control over my directors and movies. That's where my focus is as of now.
