Now, I certainly realize that there is an unusually long delay between porn scene shots on the set for any number of reasons, but caused mainly by the more "established" male performers considering it a "rite of passage" to be late (I've been told), and that its extremely important to be comfortable, but NO ONE can tell me that a pair of khakis or dress slacks and a nice sports shirt, aren't every bit as comfortable as grimy-looking jeans and a t-shirt. THAT is how, to me, a male performer shows respect and NOT distain to his female counterpart--- by dressing in such a way to show "appreciation, not depreciation," to the luscious women he's privileged to ENJOY! In conclusion, I'm sure one of you posters will be tempted to retort with something like, "I really don't watch the men for my porn," as if my post is not exactly "straight," and to THAT, I will simply say, "I wouldn't be either, if the opening of a scene contrast between "sloppy" male and "classy" female dress didn't always look so COMICAL, and certainly NOT at all true-to-life." Anyway, as far as the bi / trans stuff, I can understand his reasons for staying away from it for most of his career in spite of the fact that he apparently always wanted to do it. There is a significant stigma associated with men doing non-straight work in the straight porn world. Perhaps I shouldn't say this, but I will tell you that I had several performers refuse to shoot with him because of the bi / trans stuff. (All of them were men, strangely enough, and all of them specified clearly that it was because of the bi / trans stuff.) I'm not going to say who they were, so don't ask. While I don't agree with the stigma on non-straight work, I still believe that everyone in porn should have the freedom to decide if they want to work with any other person free from judgment, lest we forget tragic stories like what was done to August Ames. There are also valid points about different standards of testing and all of that.
