I was camping up in the mountains in Nevada for some R and R (which was unbelievably great, btw). One of the nights, we were settled around the campfire enjoying some nice cold Corona's when we heard the most interesting conversation drifting through the night air from the next campsite. It was a conversation about porn. Specifically, what porn stars they liked and didn't like. You can imagine my surprise when I heard one of them bring up my name and the group (I couldn't tell exactly, but it seemed like there might have been about 6 guys and 2 girls) began to discuss me. What are the odds of that? I had to stop myself from laughing out loud when I heard them say that they should go up to LACouples one weekend and meet me. I mean - here I am right next to them and they don't even know it!!! The next morning as we went for our morning walk, I saw them breaking up their camp and packing their cars. It was very unlikely that they would recognize me - I was wearing a fleece top and pants with my hiking boots on and a really silly looking beanie with ear covers - so I waved to them and said "good morning!". They all waved back. And, they never knew that they just said hi to the girl they were talking about the night before. They never knew they camped next to her for two days. That reminded me about they day I shot Young Sluts, Inc. 14 for Kat Slater of Hustler. We stopped at a gas station that morning and I went inside to get a coffee. The guy working there was wearing a Hustler shirt. I found that really funny; he obviously is a Hustler fan and he has no idea that he is helping a girl who is on her way to shoot a movie and boxcover for Hustler. I wonder how many times you have actually met a porn star and had no idea it happened. In fact, it is possible that the very next girl you see after reading this is one... Like I said.... interesting... Seems like a bunch of girls have come from around there, I was working with some guys who owned a couple strip clubs around there and I didn't realize it til recently that Lexi Mathews came out of there. trying to remember the name of the clubs, one was small the other was bigger and had big name feature dancers. I think the chances of anything like this ever happening to me are pretty slim. The closest thing I can thing of was when Shay Sweet featured at one of our strip clubs (can you believe I've never been to a strip club) and when I learned that Renee LaRue was born and raised closeby in neighboring Missouri. And, oh yeah, we have a local girl who runs her own amateur porn website and goes on the college radio stations to promote it. That's about it around here. Or at least that's all that I know of.

I even did a shoot when I was there. I went to the Plaza, and Westport, and Overland Park, and Olathe... NIETZSCHE- I have been to NY both for business and pleasure. In fact, there is a pretty good industry going on in NY. AMEE- So cool you posted. It is only now that I type that phrase that I realize just how bizarre a thing it is to say. Anyway, I don't live in KC but I know all the areas you are talking about. So, I stand (though I am technically sitting) corrected. Kelly Selena's stories have lead me to this somewhat out of nowhere thought: there is a new show on ABC created by Brooke Shields husband in which, basically, a nobody nice guy meets and marries a famous movie star. Imagine if this were adapted to the adult industry and it was a nobody nice guy meeting and falling for an adult film star. Far too often it seems that this would lead to the couple eventually breaking up, but during the courting period it would be interesting. I dunno. Just me and my stupid ideas. [Link] |

Just offering my guess I would imagine that Mason covers up to keep up the mysterious reputation. Pretty girls in porn are a dime a dozen but when you see that picture of Mason with her face coverd but her blonde hair showing it catches your eye. How many female directors are there, anyway? I'm not talking about former pornstars who direct now. I mean just regular female directors like Mason. The only other one I can think of is Buffy Malibu at Anabolic and it wasn't until they posted her picture in an interview with her in the latest AVN that I saw her or even fully realized just how much she does with that company under so many aliases.
