| OJ Member 22 Posts 3/01 |  Posted - Mar 19 2001 : 12:52AMI just bought the Private Penthouse DVD called fashion and noticed that every few seconds a ugly camere icon comes up on screen to let me know there is some other stupid angle available. I tried and there seem to be no way to disable this ugly distracting icon. Which other Private videos hase this icon? I am interested in getting the Dangerous Things movies also. Did they have the icon on screen also? Why would a great company like Private do a dumb thing like that? I seems like something a foolish American company would do. I don't want to be fiddling with me remote while watching porn! [Link] |

| PrivateDVD Member 57 Posts 3/01 | Posted - Mar 19 2001 : 9:42AM I am the Digital Media Manager (i.e. responsible for the DVD production) at Private and I just wanted to jump in to put some light on the "camera icon" issue. The camera icon was originally designed to let the people know that there was some alternative angles at some points in the movie. I must admit that the first design was both ugly and too big. After seeing the complains about this (mainly from Diesel) we redesigned and resized the icon and also made it possible to hide. The thing is that in all the Private/Penthouse titles except the 2 first ones (Call Girl and Fashion), that is from Dangerous Things and on, the icon can be hidden just by choosing subtitle: "off" from the remote (not in the subtitle menu of the disc). In that way you can hide the icon to watch the movie with no hassles. We are always trying to improve our DVDs, so your suggestions are always welcomed. Thanks for your interest in Private.
