Welcome to ADT, low tek!
To answer your question, yes and no. The Internet Adult Film Database ([url=31033]http://www.iafd.com</A) is the most comprehensive database for porn, but it has its limitations (it is mostly a cross-reference between performers and titles--no detailed information on the movies, some of the information is not completely accurate, only titles within the last decade or so have more than the movie title available, and it's slow). There's nothing like IMDb for adult when it comes to the content or quality of IMDb.
Hope that helps,
Saki
P.S. FWIW, IMDb does have some listings for adult titles, but the accuracy is extremely low and it's rare to actually find a porn movie you are looking for entered into the IMDb...

Saki,
Thanks. I knew I had seen something like that before, I just couldn't remember where. From what I remember, you have to pay for more complete info. on either newer or older movies.
Anyway, thanks again. I'm trying to find out about a couple of films I saw when I was a kid. I'm getting pretty desperate too, the only response I got to my post from a couple days ago was Sonic rambling on about how he covered his friend's TV is spooge.

low tek:
iafd is completely free - they also have links to reviews all over the web (including ours, Rog's, and more) included in their database.

Steph,
Of course, you're right. Its been so long since I'd been to IAFD that they've completely redesigned the site. They used to have some mention of selling copies of the data they had collected located somewhere on the homepage. Apparently, not anymore.
Anyway, thanks again for the "Welcome" and for the information. I've been lurking for several months now and really enjoy the conversations. (I always have been a voyeur though. )

Hello All,
I'm the webmaster of iafd.com -- thanks for your interest in our site!
As far back as I can remember, we never offered our data for sale, nor was it ever available as part of a pay site.
I didn't so much as redesign the site as I did rebuild it as Heretic went off and joined the Marines :-) leaving the old incarnation to wither away. Peter approached me and I him about reviving the IAFD and we registered the domain and off we went.
If there are performance issues (Saki mentioned it was slow) please let me know -- feel free to e-mail me at iafd@rame.net -- I haven't experienced anything major on the slow side, but my only points of access are either on the same subnet or from a T1 -- so my access always seems speedy.
On the slow front -- is it slow because there's a lot of data -- i.e. Ron Jeremy's page is well over 500k -- or is it just slow to respond?
We're trying to add more information to the database everyday. Right now we have over 6100 reviews archived from the leading review sites on the net and we're just growing. I wish we could be as large as the IMDb, but two things are standing in our way -- the big influx of amazon.com cash, and more people to be involved. the more people to write reviews of the movies, the better we all are. (And since we're partners with this site, any reviews you post here will be referenced in the IAFD.)
Thanks for your feedback and I hope you find the site useful.
Jeff
