If a performer is from out of town some agents will (or at least used to) arrange lodging, transport the performer from the hotel or model house (AMA in Florida and LA Direct which was in Los Angeles used to provide this service) to her shoots and around town (Brian at AMA would even take his models to a club or bar some nights for their entertainment, probably to the detriment of his marriage). However this attention isn't free, an in town model not needing these services is usually charged 10% whereas an out of town model that does need this level of service from her agent would be charged 15% and even 20% in some cases. Mark Spiegler (his agency doesn't really have a name) still provides a model house and transportation for his clients but as he is the best of the best in the biz (he only takes on about 25 performers at any one time of which usually 3-4 need a place to stay and transportation to shoots at any one time) he only takes the most motivated performers under his wing.
