I don't think it's a case of *just* too much porn, rather (1) too much porn to prosecute, and (2) too man dirtbags pirating others material because they believe it should be free for everyone to see.

That's one of the big problems with the internet, it's made many people lazy & they want everything for next to nothing...or yes, free even. The problem is, that in order to produce this, or any form of entertainment outside of picking one's own nose, it costs money. Money that isn't being fed back into the industry when people want everything for free, IMHO.

Lastly, "rubbish" is one of those subjective words depending on the kind of porn you like (features, gonzo, circus sex, etc.).

Then the influx of european girls started and films were being produced left and right.

I really think the influence for those movies were the John Leslie VOYEUR films which were really hardcore, featured hot scenes and women and were produced extremely well.

Interracial porn is almost out of control.

Also distribution seems like a problem, finding some DVDs is hard just because there's hardly no re-issuing - there's always new movies released to take their place. So I've noticed how I stick with only a few big studios like Evil Angel, RLD, PXP, ZT because then I can easily pick up all volumes of series (sad completionist that I am...)

We can see this trend in all entertainment, the market is flooded with garbage that drowns the good stuff... so it takes some effort and dedication to find what you think is hiding beneath the surface.

I would love to see one great studio, say no more than 5 great directors, turn out 1 great title every other month, rather than see 20 mediocre directors turning out 2 or more titles a month.

Somebody's gotta buy all this stuff, I guess? Not me. If anything, I'd buy all the Joey Silvera DVDs I missed, and just buy new ones as released.

It can be a better investment to join a paysite with lots of downloadable content, and save that to burn to DVD, than it can be to buy DVDs. Plus internet only content like pissing and fisting and other kinks, can be obtained cheaper via download than it is to buy a 2 hour DVD. I was a member at some of those sites a long time ago, the stuff I downloaded was way more extreme than anything that can be purchased on DVD, and I loved that.
