And, while both can be heated or chilled, they do not adjust temperature all that well. (Room-to-body temperature works well for both. Glass chills well without "sticking" whereas metal doesn't. I don't recommend heating either one.) "Refrigerator" cold works well with both silicone and glass -- not so well with metal. I would not recommend "freezer" cold at all (although ice cubes can be fun). And I would never recommend heating above body temperature -- an accidental burn might be very difficult to explain (not to mention painful). In terms of feel, silicone feels much like the real thing whereas glass and metal do not. ~ GaySatyr (ABB) [Link] |
