Would it be gay if you would never even think about blowing a guy but you would be willing to do it to a SUPER hot shemale. I'm talking so hot that they would fool anyone. I was in Vegas during a porn convention once and this shemale was so hot that I swore I would do anything with her, him, whatever, IT was fucking hot.

Why is it that most everything sexual that isn't missionary-boring between disinterested members of the opposite sex is deemed "gay" ???
One is born gay; he/she certainly doesn't learn it or catch it or become it because of any particular sexual action.

And when we determine that it is or isn't, then what? If someone answers "yes unequivocally" will you reconsider, will you torture yourself about your conflicted sexuality, would you let what someone else thought determine your actions?...just asking. Listen to GaySatyr - he is wise.

Additionally, if it is gay, it is. You're not going to change who you are by telling yourself you aren't. Doesn't work that way. I guess that's another way of saying what GS is saying.

What classification of sexuality does a shemale fall under?
And why is it called a "shemale" and not a "manshe" or a "herhim" or whatever?
Who made the rules for this stuff? And where can I get a copy?

Shemales are simply men who want to be women. Beyond that, I'm fairly clueless. Perhaps GS can shed some light on the precise distinctions between shemales and gays.

Well let me say this, I went to Thailand and I wouldn't touch andy of the Shemales that I saw there because they look too masculine. But if I had a chance to hook up with the super hot female looking shemale I saw in Vegas I would. And I would do anything with her/him except take it in the ass, I can't do that.

Friends -
What, (not "who", but "what"), is or isn't "gay", is usually a nebulous concept fraught with all kinds of emotion, cultural mischaracterizations, and other non-objective considerations.
However...,
If you, a male born with, (and presumably still possessing), a dick and a Y chromosome, blow another person, possessor of a real, natural, dick and also carrying the Y chromosome, this constitutes a homosexual act by any measure.
No matter how that dick is packaged, presented, dressed, perfumed, hidden, or sprung on you when you least expect it, it is still a dick, on a man. If you go for it because everything else is "SUPER hot", that still doesn't diminish the homosexuality of the act.
That doesn't necessarally make you "gay", or a good or bad person, but it does mean that you might be a little better prepared than others to deal with the uncertainties of a prison future, should your life take a turn for the worse.
Hope that helps.
Smile.

didnt we have something similar to this not so long ago? (might be in porn pool or somewhere)
I do like shemales, but not as much as "females" I've already had the pleasure of doing Wendy Williams and Allanah Starr in real life, and enjoyed every minite of it, do i consider myself gay? I should, but I don't!

Yes. We did. It pops up about every 5 days or so.
I think all us shemale lovin folk should just put up a disclaimer that says "Yep. I'm gay (since that statement is apparently what you need to make your life complete) now go get a real life".

My rant is because this comes up over and over and over again -- mostly brought on by products of american [ir]religious-reich upbringing.
There are really three inter-dependent concepts here: (1) Ones own psyche; (2) the physical act; and, (3) societal interpretation of both.
(1) A person is gay (lesbian) if he (she) is primarily attracted to same gender partners in terms of emotional/sexual relationships, regardless of what sex acts the two partners may or may not have. This, based on all currently available, legitimate, scientific research, appears to be either fully genetic and/or a genetic propensity triggered by environmental factors (meaning chemical and hormonal) PRIOR to birth. The intensity of ones gayness or straightness appears to depend on at least three and possibly as many as eight genetic components. So, while most people are probably truly straight, there are indeed degrees of gayness and bisexuals do exist.
And, regardless of fundamentalist religious assertions, one does not ever catch his gayness from a bacteria or virus nor does he learn it from another, be that person a friend or a molester. However, one DOES -- or, at least, should -- learn to accept his own sexuality and identity.
(I know of one gay couple who have been together over forty years who do not sleep together and have never had sex with each other or with any other man. One confided in me that he knows the other masturbates -- as does he -- but that he would never dream of intruding on his friend's space. Regardless of their totally Platonic relationship, they are as gay as I am. I think it rather sad; however, they seem perfectly happy with the arrangement.)
(2) Homosexual acts -- too numerous to list -- comprise those sex acts involving two (or more) people of the same gender. Jacking off in front of a camera is not overtly homosexual -- it's mono-sexual -- regardless of who's behind the camera. Masturbating another person of the same gender IS a homosexual act, regardless of how that person is dressed or how hot/feminine/masculine he/she looks. The same is true of any more intimate sexual act performed by two people of the same gender, including both oral and anal sex. Sorry, and apologies to O'Henry, but in this case, the clothes do NOT make the woman (or man, as the case may be).
(3) Societal acceptance of homosexuality seems to vary tremendously among cultures with most condemning it to a greater or lesser extent. However, even the definitions as to what comprises a homosexual act change with cultural background.
For example, in some places in the Southeast Asia, it is perfectly acceptable for young men to bond sexually as long as they mature into heterosexual relationships and marry at a later date. In other words, they are only gay if they are never straight.
Within the Hispanic and Latino culture, a man who gets a piece of male ass on the side is mucho macho and scores a few extra points among his peers as long as he is also perceived to be scoring with the ladies at the same time. However, the man performing a blow job on, or getting screwed by, his macho partner is considered a maricón -- a faggot.
Most of the European cultures seem not to care as long as their noses are not rubbed in ones sexual acts. Two men making out on the streets of Rome are castigated and quite likely to get arrested; but, short of the, the natives seem to adopt an attitude of, "Why would they? They're crazy, but who cares..." as they shrug their shoulders and turn their thoughts to other things.
In the US of A, the story is quite different: two men dressed in underwear or wrapped in towels who accidentally brush shoulders in passing in a crowded men's locker room are immediately accused of being homosexual deviants and molesters of little boys unless they immediately prove otherwise by raping the nearest women -- without touching, or glancing at each other, of course. And heaven forbid that in a porn M-F-M scene, cum from one of the male participants might accidentally splatter on the other male participant -- how tres gai is that?
Do you get the idea that men in America are a bit obsessed?
All I can add is, "Why the h-e-double-l does it matter, anyway?" and, "Get over it!"

GS, while I appreciate your well-written response, I have to protest one thing.
The question of whether doing a TS is gay or not has little to do with my upbringing.
I mean, c'mon.....the chick has a dick. Seems pretty obvious to me that's not "straight."

LOL! You said that you can't "catch gay". That was one of my favorite Simpson episodes ever. Marge and Bart were out with a gay guy and Homer said "Marge, Bart, are you ok? You didn't catch gay did you?"

But I DID answer your question: A homosexual act, which, by definition, a "str8" male giving oral sex to a TS/TV/CD/shemale is, does not make the participants, either of them, gay; however, it might well earn them both the label, justified or not, depending on cultural, societal & religious mores.
A lot of men have gotten involved in a sexual situation with another man at one time or another, especially during puberty. Having experimented doesn't entitle them to the keys to the club. Nor does dropping to your knees and swallowing the cock of a transvestite on a one-time basis mean you are gay. It definitely means you are pretty liberal sexually. And you might discover that you are, indeed, bisexual. Or even gay. But it's no guarantee!
Look at it another way: If you, a str8 male, take it up the ass from a woman wearing a strap-on, does that make you gay? I think not. Now if you start seeking out 6'8" 265# hairy-chested men named 'Bubba' to stuff your poop chute on a regular basis, then I think you need to do some serious soul searching if you're still claiming to be str8.
What about the men (and women) in prison who resort to homosexual sex as a form of release while incarcerated? Not all of them are gay, either.
The act and the mindset are certainly entangled; but they are not joined at the hip.

The thing is that nobody could ever accuse me of having a homosexual experience because hot shemales are as rare as unicorns. I couldn't get with one even if I wanted to. I'd sooner be able to find a hot midget. Where are they? Is every hot shemale either a pornstar or a call girl? Are there places to go to find any?

As GS pointed out, the ACT itself may be an inescapably homosexual ACT but does that make the guy who likes trannies AS WELL AS women gay? No. Said guy is bisexual at most.
Let's say a guy blows another guy when he's 20 simply because he's curious what it's like or whatever and never does it again. Is he gay because he was open to new or different experiences?
People get confused because there is such a thing as bisexuality. A person who likes sex with men and women is neither straight nor gay. They're bi. If they like sex with trannies, I'm not sure what that makes them. But I'm perfectly happy to let people figure out for themselves what they consider themselves to be. What I think doesn't matter.
In the end, who gives a shit? Or should I say, why does anyone give a shit?

Let me add that curiosity about homosexuality and the sex involved does not make one gay, either. It's said that curiosity is a sign of intelligence; although it's also said that it killed the cat. Experimenting with homosexual acts doesn't mean that you are homosexual, or even bisexual. It probably does mean that you're pretty liberal intellectually and not bound by conventional societal mores. If you abandon your interest, well, it happened; it's in the past; big deal. If you find you like it and continue, well, maybe you weren't quite as straight as you thought you were.

I get what GS is saying and I don't think performing a homosexual act one time in your life makes you gay. I do think desiring to do it makes you gay-curious or bi-curious, although frankly I tend to define "bi" anything as "gay curious."
But based on societal values, the following rules typically apply:
1) Someone who murdered someone one time, even after serving their sentence, is still labeled a murderer.
2) Someone who fathers/mothers a child one time is still considered a parent.
3) Someone who commits one sex offense is considered a sex offender for life.
4) Someone who used drugs once, but later quits, is NOT labeled a drug user for life.
5) Someone who does does porn once is _usually_ labeled a porn star for life (although often with the "former" prefaced to that title).
6) Someone who makes even a SINGLE racial comment is labeled a racist forever.
So if guy blows another guy, even once.....well, I given the lack of rules governing labels (see above), I can see why they are labeled as gay. Whether they are or not (again, see above) has not relevance to the "public" at large.
Ultimately, who the fuck cares what other people think of you for liking shemales. Just don't film your acts or run for public office later.

Why is that? Just ummmm.....curious. Is it because you can't accept that it's possible to be neither completely gay nor straight? IOW, is it because it isn't black and white?
Because as someone who feels that I'm closer to bisexual, I find it.......irritating to have someone tell me that I'm something I'm not. I think I know what I like. And I'm pretty sure all those boners I've had for women were pretty genuine. Now maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you're not implying that bisexuality is impossible. But it's certainly an argument I've heard a lot of. I think a bisexual knows whether it's possible or not a little better than someone who is straight and just has an opinion.
I've never (to my knowledge) been within a city block of a shemale. I've only ever beat off to pictures of them. I noticed politicians aren't supposed to have genitals, a sex drive or any sort of sex life at all, really but I wasn't planning on running for office anyway. I don't really care but I'm starting to get agitated with the argument. Not with you, particularly. Just the argument.
If you've never had a dick in your mouth, what do you care? Not you but them. The people who want to make definitive statements about what is and isn't.

I have found that the best way to look at this topic is to turn it around gender-wise.
If your girlfriend confides to you that she once in her youth went to bed with one of her female friends to find out what it was like, would you label her a lesbian? That's whats happening here with guys who do the same, they are labeled as "gay". Would you look your girlfriend in the eyes and tell her she's a lesbian? Her reaction would probably be laughter or a slap on the face. Maybe even if you "just" called her bisexual.
I think the hypocrisy is obvious.

I think many men think of themselves as not-females. Anything sexually that can be thought of as feminine is gay. Do it once and you may not be homosexual, but the act was certainly gay.

Not what I want to hear but I must admit it is a good point. Forget about the "is it gay" debate for a moment and just ask yourself this, if you had the chance to get with a shemale that was the spitting image of Jessica Simpson would you? Gay or not, Jessica Simpson with a dick, yes or no. The point I'm trying to make is that I saw a shemale that was so hot that I would feel like I was sucking a "hot chicks" dick. I would see her hot female stomach, I would look up and see a gorgeous female face. It would seem like a female dick!!!

Rich07,
In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with fantasing about shemales - especially if you consider yourself straight. But remember to always practice safe sex if you ever try and make your fantasies come true. And if she also wants to stick it up your ass, make damn sure she's gloved as well.

Jessica Simpson is not a good example for me cuz I DON'T find Jessica Simpson attractive with a pussy, let alone with a dick. I don't find her hot at all.
But as to your point, the more I read you in this thread, the more I'm wondering if you are just pulling our leg.
"...sucking a "hot chicks" dick." "...I would see her hot female stomach, I would look up and see a gorgeous female face. It would seem like a female dick!!!"

GaySatyr makes a great point. He is gay and he wants Jessica Alba. Whether you think Jessica Simpson is hotter than Jessica Alba or the other way around, we are talking about SUPER MODELS here. Even if Jessica Simpson isn't even close to your favorite model she is way to good looking to make a claim that she isn't hot. Any girl that can turn a gay man straight is hot by anyone's standards!

"Shallow Hal"?
You do know that there are six billion people in the world?
Every single one of them different.
And they are not all programmed to like the same food, the same music, or find the same people "hot".
You do know that don't you?
Let me say this again, I do not find Jessica Simpson attractive to me. And that says nothing about "flaws" she may or may not have, and it doesn't speak to her "hotness" relative to anyone else.
She just doesn't appeal to me.
BSD
P.S. -
Oh yeah, and Gay Satyr didn't say anything about "wanting" Jessica Alba, he didn't say anything about any girl "turning him straight", and he didn't say anything at all about Jessica Simpson. So your attempt to make some sort of connection to all of that, via his post, doesn't work.

I think you're going off topic on your own argument. Surely you would allow people to replace Jessica Simpson for some other girl in the argument you made? I would turn down Jessica Simpson for both her personality and her looks (which I don't like).

Jessica Simpson is so NOT attractive (to me of course, I speak for myself on such matters). But it's really besides the point, though I think she's one of the more frightening looking people I've seen in the public eye, right up there with Joan Rivers and Steven Tyler (who both look a lot alike, I think they share plastic surgeons).
Anyhow, I find her as unattractive as I find many men. So that would be a negative connection, there... that a straight guy can be as unattracted to certain women as he is to men. But that doesn't mean I'd want to do any men, or Jessica Simpson... but if I was forced at gun point to get with Jessica Simpson or a normal looking dude... who knows what would happen? I'd just try not to get shot.

Did everyone get together behind my back to play a joke on me? Is there a second Jessica Simpson out there that I don't know about? Let me get this straight, you would have to have a gun put to your head to hook up with the super model who played Daisy Duke in Dukes of Hazzard? Did you see that movie? Do you people have any idea how happy I would be if the world shared your opinion on this matter. A world full of people who are turned off by Jessica Simpson, I would be the luckiest guy alive. Can everyone please tell me where they live (is it earth)?
WHo made the "my version of good looking" point? It's pretty common knowlege what beauty is. Guys do nothing for me but I could still tell you that Brad Pitt is good looking and Danny Devito isn't. You act like society told us what hot is! Did you need the media to tell you who the hot girl in class was when you were in high school? That argument is so weak, someone I work with says that. Like if T.V. started hyping up Rosanne Barr I would all of the sudden think she was hot. I understand that on a scale of 1 to 10 you might consider Jessica a 7 and I think she's a 10, but you're going to tell me that you would have to have a guy pointed at your head to hook up with her. Let's not get carried away! I think Julia Roberts is SO overrated but she is still way above average. When i say overrated I mean overrated as compared to other women in Hollywood. To say someone would have to threaten my life before I hook up with her is absolutely ridiculous.

What is so difficult for you to understand?
You make some blanket assumption that the whole world feels the same way that you do about about Jessica Simpson, and you try and hold her up as some gold standard for "hotness".
Others point out that they don't share your view on Simpson, or they have different tastes.
And you don't understand that?
Have you ever been in a room with grownups before? Cuz you're going to run into occasions when people see the world differently from you. You might want to get used to it.

I realize people have different tastes. I realize that people won't think Jessica Simpson is a 10 like I do. But when a girl is gorgeous enough to be on the magazine cover of her choice, saying that she is flat out not attractive is ridiculous! Saying it would take a gun to your head to hook up with her is ridiculous. Like I said, I probably mirror your opinion on Jessica when it comes to Julia Roberts. My PERSONAL taste is that she is very overrated. But for me to say she is flat out not attractive is getting carried away. When a girl is a super model there is a reason for it. YES, there is a blanket assumption on what hot is. And yes, personal taste will vary on who is a 10 or an 8 or a 6. But how can a girl be a 10 to millions of people and disgusting to you? That is something that an adult wouldn't say! What, she's an airhead so she's ugly? It's ridiculous to call her anything less than a 7.

Seriously, I don't want a heated arguement. Maybe I'm f***ed up. I never thought I would have poster after poster saying Jessica Simpson was beat. I'm kind of in shock here. Not to sound cocky BSD but are there girls that are considered by most people "ugly" that you think are hot? Because once again in my opinion (and it seems like I'm alone) if an ugly girl was a super nice person perhaps her looks would improve to me a little but again, I'm not about to ever see an unattractive girl as a 10. Her personallity could be a 10 but I don't understand how a person could rate someone a 10 if the huge majority of people see her/him as "beat". I wish I was like that. That would be awesome if my gold standard was considered ugly, I would be set.

You gotta identify who you are talking to or replying to.
"Disgusting"?
Who said anything about Simpson being "disgusting"? Not me.
I said I don't find her attractive.
And you throw the term "supermodel" around like everybody agrees what that is, and everybody agrees that that's good, or always attractive.
I don't particularly find most "supermodels" attractive either, cuz I'm not attracted to tall, rail-thin, chicks, who live on cigarettes and coffee to stay freakishly thin, which is what many, if not most, "supermodels" do.
If you mean "supermodels" like Cindy Crawford, or Kathy Ireland, or Tyra Banks, who actually bear some resemblance to real women, I get that and find them attractive, but if you mean "supermodels" like Kate Moss or all the models in Italy and France with rib cages showing, asses so tiny that they go inward, and see-through flesh, and who eat a peanut once a month and then puke that up to stay so thin that they are now passing legislation against it, I find those "supermodels" unattractive as well.
But all that is neither here nor there. Many people don't salivate over Simpson as you do. Get over it. Reasonable people can find her not to their taste without finding her disgusting, and without needing to be at gunpoint to fuck her, and without having to justify her position on some subjective "hotness" number line. For you, or anybody else. You like her, fine. Others don't, that's fine too.
In keeping with the thread topic, find yourself a tranny that looks like Simpson and have a ball.

Dude, you keep coming up with terms like "disgusting", "ugly", "beat", etc... And you seem to fixate on that.
I never said, or applied ANY of those to Simpson.
I spoke specifically about PERSONAL TASTE. From the very beginning of this discussion. That is subjective, AND it is not required to be defended.
You love Simpson, I'm cool with that. Others don't love her, you seem shocked at that and want to ascribe feelings and passions of others about her that no one has articulated.
Turn the page, bro.
