I think that is a ridiculous over-generalization. It's a blanket statement. And to borrow a page from he-of-sound-faith-and-logic (GW), when you start getting into labeling things as "normal" it is a slippery slope.

1) it isn't considered male-oriented, so they believe it has little or no market value, and
2) they simply don't know how to shoot it, thus making my first point an easy excuse for avoiding it.

I, too, am guilty of mis-speaking. I should have specified that I meant bj-only tapes as well. That said, you're right. It is ridiculous. The women in those films do not get much reciprocation.

I would imagine that bj-only tapes probably really do only appeal to a male audience. However, I don't want to sound too ignorant. I know of woman who claim to absolutely love giving blowjobs. I do not know though if those same women would like to see blowjob only tapes or scenes in their porn.

What is really interesting is that this may be one of the only ways such people get feedback about their work from everyday viewers. It isn't like you can go down the street and conduct an interview on what Joe Average thought of certain porn releases. I guess you could but I'm guessing that the response wouldn't be accurate like it is here where everyone is anonyous if they want to be.

Oh yes, the trend I am seeing (and IMO it is a regrettable trend), is that more and more customers are only interested in very narrowly defined kinds of porn AND nothing else but that kind. AND, most important, nobody seems to agree much at all with anybody else.

Don't get me wrong, as an occasional indulgence, it's an awesome fantasy to totally brute fuck a gorgeous woman. It just bothers me to see intimacy and sexual heat sidelined in favor of sportfucking. One of the great things about early nineties pro-am flicks is the way the directors could draw out amazing performances from everyday women.
