Can anybody recommend a site with true 4k porn that is also at the same time set up for virtual reality (split screen). Or at least ultra HD. Doesn't even have to be a free service. My phone is 4k capable and I just bought a VR headset. Would love to see the absolute best quality in this type of set up. I've found sites that offer these two things individually but not combined. Any suggestions much appreciated

Naughty America has 4K scenes and VR scenes (though there are people who aren't particularly impressed with their 4K). Most other sites doing VR are solely for VR and don't have any other types of scenes to offer.

I have been in shock that VR hasn't been talked about more here. If we are on this site, we are all dedicated to the hobby, and I would have thought more of us would have invested in the hardware (of course, I havent either).
I did however buy a google cardboard headset, but my phone didn't have tracking, so the VR experience was a very low quality one.
The one major problem for me was simply lack of variation. Everything is POV (or 99% is), which isnt my thing. While I am aware there are likely technical limitations for why this is, even within the POV genre I saw little variation (I must have watched parts of 20 videos, not a single lapdance. you think that would be a standard for VR POV).
The ony video that I found myself watching was Lana Rhodes in lemon aid lana. There were parts of it where her tits would swing in your face, or just her hair, and it was awesome. Nothing else lived up to this however.
But the hype around VR in general seem to be wearing off, so we will see if VR porn ever gets real traction.

All the naysayers in this thread probably never checked out some CzechVR videos on an Oculus/Vive. VR porn is 100 times better than standard 2D porn if done right. I used to never like straight porn scenes (mostly lesbian only) but in VR I find myself to enjoy them immensely. I gets addicting pretty fast. What does this say about the future of porn?

That's a cute little puff piece. I really doubt they've conquered the uncanny valley, but it'll be interesting to see how close they've gotten.

As someone who has finally tried VR porn on Naughty America.
I have to say, it's amazing! Tried it with a Samsung Gear VR, had everything set up, it was a great experience. Loved it, and looking forward to using it more.

I think VR is absolutely the future of porn especially with Google Cardboard & the Gear VR being affordable options as an entry point into VR. Naughty America in my mind has always been at the forefront of embracing new tech in porn, from HD to 4K to VR.
I'm honestly shocked that none of the other major studios have introduced VR content as I think they can definitely attract new subscribers.

Brazzers/Mindgeek has been "working on it" in some capacity for like a year now, and technically has put out some content through Pornhub. I think they're waiting for a bigger audience before rolling anything major out for one of their subscription sites, though.

I hope not. Every single time I've tried VR anything I get sick to my stomach.

It is doubtful that any one method of delivery will be "the future of porn." If adult entertainment companies put all their eggs in one basket and that basket fails, they are done for. Therefore I expect that the future of porn will be a variety of delivery methods.
Major studios seem to be introducing virtual reality content. Adam & Eve and Kink have both been releasing some virtual reality titles.
Bear in mind, virtual reality requires buying new cameras. Cameras that aren't cheap. And more than that require a director or co-director that understands the new medium and how to shoot in it.
This last part is the most important, in my opinion, and has been heavily lacking in a lot of virtual reality productions on the market. Right now directors should be playing with the medium, figuring out what they can do. Very few seem to be actually doing this.
Angie Rowntree at Sssh.com has been playing with virtual reality in a feature or vignette format as can be seen with Empowering Ava. I believe her husband Colin is also playing with what virtual reality can do on Wasteland.com. David Edwards has been playing with what the format can do at Adam & Eve with shorts such as Being Mr. B, which he co-directed with Kay Brandt, and The Sorority Sex Party Experience.
What all of these directors have been doing are playing with the full scope of vision and how to use the entire space granted to them through virtual reality and how to use sound to cue the viewer as to where they should be focusing their attention at any given time.
What most of the virtual reality being churned out right now seems to be is just straight forward POV scenes that, with the exception of a "walk around" is nothing different than what could be shot with a normal camera. VR Bangers is one of those companies with their titles such as Busty Black Maid and Pussy for Breakfast.
There is nothing special about these scenes. Nothing that would make virtual reality the future of porn. They are just a cheap gimmick that will get old quick.
I haven't seen any of Kink's offerings yet.
Whether or not virtual reality is just a blip on the radar of the adult movie industry or whether it sticks around for a while I think depends on how many companies focus on the former over the latter.

Here is an interview I conducted with Angie Rowntree where she exclusively talks about playing around with virtual reality from the side of a director.

they need to come up with a way to release all the VR scenes as regular scenes alongside. I don't know how much those VR headsets are but even if I could afford it I'm still not into that shit. I don't even like 3D movies. just give me regular porn.

No they don't. Properly shooting a VR scene makes it impossible to release well as a regular scene. They tried flattening the footage for The Sorority Sex Party Experience and an amazing virtual reality movie became a horrible flat movie.

^says you. maybe now they don't have the technology but at some point they have to release all VR porn as regular porn. making consumers choose between regular 2d viewing experience and VR will not be good for the industry. they are struggling to fight piracy as it is. splitting the paying consumer base will only make matters worse.

Since it is "says me," you go watch the movie and report back on it. I will await your thoughts on the "flattening."

They can't. The two are basically filmed differently enough that shooting a good VR scene makes it a not very good 2D scene, and vice-versa (especially if we're talking about the POV stuff). The best you can hope for is pairing the same performers together in a similar scene and shooting it as a 2D scene.

Even the ones that aren't POV don't convert well. Due to how virtual reality is shot the image gets distorted when it is "flattened."
For instance, here is a still shot from my review of The Sorority Sex Party Experience, the 2D version.
SororitySexPartyExperience2DSSR4.jpg
Chessmaster indicated I was lying about the distortion and that there is no problem with "flattened" versions, however, I don't think that a volleyball net really curves like that.
But I guess different strokes for different folks.

^lol what?! I said eventually they need to find out how to convert the VR porn into regular 2d. the VR thing is not for everyone is all I'm saying. I believe you that trying now to convert VR to regular 2d is probably a bad idea. but never underestimate technology advancements. but sometimes technology moves too fast for society. I mean how many people honestly after they try it once will prefer to watch their porn with their phone on their face??? not everyone is all I'm saying. look at what smart phones are doing to society. kids can't even have a face to face conversation for more than a few minutes without looking at their phone these days.

Thing about the human brain is that it doesn't take a lot for immersion. All it takes is a monitor or tv screen. On the other hand it's easy to kill it. Having a diving mask strapped to your head for instance.

Enough people that plenty of major companies are looking into it. The market is already there for it. Is it ever going to become the dominant type of content on the market? Probably not. But if it can carve its own niche, it will be able to survive, and it looks to be doing that already.

^as a niche category it might thrive. but the thread is titled "is virtual reality the future of porn?" as its constructed(having to buy an expensive enough phone and then having to wear it on your face), no. I don't think it's the "future" of porn. definitely a nice option though if your into that kind of thing.

Hi all
As the owner of The Reality Sandwich (the worlds leading resource for combining VR porn and VR gaming) I can tell you that the number of users of virtual reality porn is growing at an incredible rate.
A couple of years ago VR porn was in its infancy due to the fact that it wasn't mass-market. VR is now a lot more accessible and cheaper giving people access to this incredibly immersive world.
For those interested we created a hugely popular
VR porn guide for 2017 featuring reviews of over 15 different producers.
Thanks.

This thread was a fun read, reliving the early studios launching back in 15' and seeing pics of those first movies from Naughty America, etc.
My name is DirtyD and I run one of the larger fully independent VR porn review sites at 3dpornreviews.com, and I would say to the OP now at the end of 2017, yes, it is the "future" and for many, the now. I routinely see comments from regular viewers on forums that state that they no longer watch 2d porn. Or that this is the first time they have ever paid for porn in their lives more importantly from the younger tube era viewers. And this is at a stage of adoption where the barrier to entry is still both expensive, and clumsy for those who are not cutting edge tech kind of people.
VR porn is not a tiny niche in 2017, it is 4 years into steady growth and there are more than 3000 movies available now, of which NO "quality" examples are listed in this thread in terms of tech.
Sorority Sex Party for example shown above, is MONO 360. That, is not VR porn. I do not know of one regular viewer that considers this type of content "real VR". I call this type of content, such as the recently launched RonJeremyVR, "Novelty VR" and it has no future, or any real consumer base atm. Mono 360 lacks any real VR effect and offers little over flat porn in 4k. Nothing in fact beyond novelty. Other than prebuilt camera solutions that do not exist for SBS 180 content, where the rigs have to be built still.
The major barrier to entry for most will be affordable, stand alone HMDs, the first of which should reach market in the next 12 to 18 months such as Oculus Go. PSVR is another platform that is helping spread adoption once the ability to play the files was made available. Pimax will be bringing 4k and 8k masks to market this year.
Like anything else, there is good and bad, and in 2017, there is more bad than good in terms of VR porn studios. There are many, simply shooting porn on VR cams, instead of truly utilizing the medium to do something different in adult entertainment. But for those looking for the cutting edge of the adult holodeck atm, check out some movies from WankzVR or Czech VR from around mid 16' onward in the catalogs. This content is leaps and bounds ahead of what has been mentioned in this thread.
I have to chuckle reading a lot of the comments, and there are too many to address, but yes.....VR porn is hear to stay, and will continue to grow. Just as VHS and DVD were once the "future", they didn't usher the death of print magazines at the time, and flat porn will continue to thrive alongside VR porn.
But here is the thing. VR Porn offers things for adult movies, that no other medium can tap into via proximity effects. Men are happy just staring into a woman's face in VR for example.....large numbers of men, it is not just a few dudes, it is a radical change in what males are finding provocative. It marks the most radical shift in adult in my 40 years and it is redefining adult entertainment, and for that reason alone, it will continue to grow and become a part of the future of porn.
I run a site where people read my technical full movie reviews for porno movies that run 90 minutes for a single fuck scene. I see discussion on forums that you would have never dreamed of 10 years ago, in terms of dudes saying how VR porn has affected them or changed their appetites in porn. The opinions are sooo passionate, it shows that the virtual experiences are resonating at another level from flat porn. If you are tuned in right now, the future is already now for many early viewers. It is simply an experience on another level.
Cheers,
Dirty D

since you're so into this, I'd like to ask you one thing. I'd be curious to try sooner or later some VR porn, but for what I've seen in the past I've had the impression that the vast majority of the genre is made in POV. And I've never liked POV. Is it still like this or there are also scenes for those like me who definitely prefer the normal direction? Because that's what stops me (and I think many others).
