Isis, just want to say that even though the mainstream porn thing might be over for you and you may not quite had the type of porn career you wanted I think you had a very good run and left behind a solid body of work. At one point you were among the top girls in the biz and got to be on a lot of boxcovers. Your work for ELEGANT ANGEL and EVIL ANGEL was top notch. You didn't do the crazy or really hardcore stuff or even anal yet you managed to become a big name and work/appear with some of the best in the industry. Sad to see you not working for any of the big studios anymore but glad that you had the good run you did.

I don't think many girls retire, I think the industry retires them. As a girls career moves on, they must become more open to things like anal, gangbangs, DP, interracial ect and do more hardcore scenes. If they don't the industry moves on to the next group of girls and scenes become harder to come by especially in these times when illegal downloading/tube sites are destroying the industry. The industry doesn't respect girls limits and try to pressure them to do more. Some can remain vanilla such as Alexis Texas, but that's not the norm. Thousands of girls come each year and don't last to long. I remember when Isis announced she was back, but not many scenes came after that. I feel the game is rough, Isis had a very long career compared to most and I wish her luck in her future endeavors.

What interest in posting can we have for a now retired performer and what interest does she have to post here? Has Isis really "retired" from porn if she's still shooting custom videos? Isn't that still porn? The only difference is it's not mass marketed by some studio.
^Technically you are correct but since none of us have seen or will see those customs videos than it's rather hard to discuss them. In my case custom videos fall under the same category as cam shows and those II don't consider to be porn. For me porn requires that it be available to everyone through a site or on a physical media.
There are still people seeing Isis' work because of the many companies putting out old scenes on "new" releases and people who still buy older DVDs or sites that feature her past work so I like having Isis pop her head in from time to time in case some has a question or wants to toss out a compliment. Just because a scene isn't recently shot doesn't mean it's not "new" to someone watching it for the first time. I understand lots of posters here probably have no interest in porstars who don't shoot new content they can see because they can't badger them with requests/demands for IR and anal but I think this site has lost too many actual pornstars to make any pornstar feel like there's no reason for them to hang out or post.

I was reading one of her interviews from 2010 though and it was rather sad reading her excuses for not working with Blacks (e.g., too big when she worked with Manuel and Nacho) back then compared to how many girls do such scenes now. I saw an interview with her explaining that the reason she stopped doing IR was because she found it strange/awkward or whatever to have sex with black guys in porn because most of them were her husband's friends. She said it was absurd that people call her racist because her husband is black. I thought it was interesting that she said her husband was black in the interview but said he wasn't in this thread. I could understand her not wanting to shoot with her husband's friends because it might seem strange or uncomfortable but it seems odd that her husband is friends with all the black performers in porn...but not so with so many white guys. I personally think this was probably another case of a boyfriend/husband not wanting his girl to work with black guys because he didn't want her to....but I could be wrong. In any case, whatever her reason is/was it's her right to do whatever she wants or goes along with and I don't hold it against her. I'm still a fan and hope she's happy whatever she's doing these days.
Always amazes me when people complain and vilify performers just because they don't want to do IR. How about maybe they just don't want to. People have a right to their own preferences...it's not like the performer is looking down on another race, just because that race may not be that person's "cup of tea" so to speak. Performers can do what they want and perform with who they want; they don't owe anyone "excuses" for not performing for this reason or that. Did I miss an announcement that Isis was thinking of making a comeback? That would be some great news. I'm sure many fans are still hoping that she returns but if she isn't than why did she make her recent post regarding stuff she did and didn't do while she was in porn? Is there still a lot of porn activity on her twitter feed? Does she still have a twitter feed? I know there are plenty of things fans wanted her to do while she was in porn but the same can be said for every other performer.
Wow! Isis! Shocked and happy to hear from you. I figured at this point porn was a distant memory for you and you'd forgotten that you ever posted here. I've always thought you never became as a star as you should have. For awhile it seemed like you were well on your way and you were a big deal and then something happened and your porn status never recovered. As much as I'd like to see you come back, it's even worse now than when you left as far as fans wanting/demanding to see anal, boy/boy/girl, harder scenes, and IR. If you wanted to be a major player these days and shoot for the majors you just have to do some of that stuff. Of course there are still studios that shoot tamer stuff like NAUGHTY AMERICA, GIRLFRIEND FILMS, etc...There's work for you and you have fans who'd like to see you come back but things are fairly different now and it's harder to sustain a career these days. I don't know if you were considering making a comeback, but unless you plan to be a all new hardcore diva willing to do all sorts of stuff you never did before...it would be tough get people to pay attention long term. Do what's best for you and makes you happy. Take care.

I was just pointing out how some things have changed. There are still many options in porn to do any type of performance you'd be up for. If you did decide to come back I'd love to see it. If you weren't plan on coming back that's fine too. You did a body of good work while you were in the biz and I still watch your old stuff and there's stuff I haven't seen that I will get around to at some point. You had did some great work and you should be proud of you time in porn.
