And a person grown in the states, going to school in the states, speaking english as mother language etc.... that person is american... consider Britney Spears or Bill Clinton as examples lol Then you can consider the people born from italian parents and speaking italian at home: yeah they have an italian cultural structure, but you also have to keep in mind that they are speaking english in their life, attending english schools, having american friends etc.... (and that's a very good thing because it means that italian community is melting vary well in the american society, if you just think about those latin or chinese communities who can't even speak english).... but it also mean thay they have a double "ethnical backround" (let's call it that way)..... so they are what we here call italo-american.... does it mean that they are not italian, or not american? no, it means that they are both... That's what I meant when I wrote that list you have read... I know that this is really delicate thing to talk about, because it has been the ground of discriminations and bad things in history, and it goes deep inside peopleks feelings etc....and it's something still subject of sociology studies etc.... Just think about Madonna...well she has italian parents but she has become the symbol of the USA in the world...if you ask some people here in Italy they don't even know her origins... and that shows how complicated this matter is.... Another example..my aunt is italian and she married an american doctor...she moved to NY, they had 3 daughters.... they can speak italian but they go to college and have american friends and they do "american things"... here in Italy we call them fondly "the american sisters", but in NY their friend call them "the italian sisters"..... That just have and idea about how different can be the perception of different societies on the same thing....... Now I think I went a bit off-topic and maybe I forgot what I still wanted to write lol..... but what I meant in that post was just to differenciate between the Rocco Siffredis and the Madonnas.... ;-) And consider that what we can see in porn is just a little part of all your lives...so maybe you all live 100% italian style but you look like Uncle Sam to our eyes lol So in the end I'm really glad to read you here, to read how proud you all are of your italian origins... and if you want one italian friend more Taryn, here I am!!
