Hi I just had the above 2 titles seized by the UK customs and the reason they gave me is that it contained scenes of females urinating on females. Has anyone seen the above two titles, does it contain this? I thinking on appealing but need to know if the 2 DVD does contain the scenes mentioned... Thanks
Whenever in doubt of what is in a title Den's site is the one to check out (www.cavr.com). According to him there is a little peeing in the BTS footage in the first movie and Charlotte talks about peeing on Riley in the BTS footage of the second movie.
I have 'It's a Daddy Thing 1'. Just flicked through it. Lela Star has a piss in the toilet in the 'behind the scenes'. In the trailers they have a couple of women squirting after being fucked in the film 'who lets the whores out 2'. Lands on the camera lens, but probably got the male actor too. I didn't see any women on women squirting/pissing. You can have my good as new copy if you want Damn~small~penis. £7.99 - US original with cover. UK customs can go fuck itself.
I wonder where customs is getting its info from. These titles don't show anything up on the BBFC website, so presumably they haven't been classified by the BBFC. Do they really go as far as checking cavr.com or other online reviews? It's a sad state of affairs if they do.
Customs will watch any titles they think may be questionable and if necessary they have a "qualified professional" they can send material to,to make a decision on wether to seize or not....this is if they don't make a decision themselves at the point of interception.

Unless there's anything on the cover art that indicated pissing related content, why did they think it might contain such content? Although I suppose it could be that they thought the title implied an incest theme and decided to view it because of that.

That's what i was told by a custom's officer when i was stopped coming back from holiday a few years back.I think at the time the guidelines were more vague,i would imagine currently things are more black and white and a decision is probably virtually always made straight away without further consultation. Hmmm. I'm waiting on an order which includes one of Zero Tolerance's "Mother Load" DVDs. It's a MILF title, certainly not incest related, but I still hope the package gets through customs unmolested. Anyone have any idea of how common UK customs seizures are at present?
Don't you guys think it could me more related to minors? At least the title could lead into that direction too even though for sure all actresses in that movie are of legal age. There is quite a drift in the US to prohibit (legal!) "teen themed" movies. I would not be surprised if some european countries copy that habit. -Peach
Actually if you go back to the top, the original poster said he'd been told by customs it was due to scenes of females urinating on females. Except it sounds like that isn't really in the movie. This seems somewhat reminiscent of when the R18 liberalisation first happened and people realised they could then import legally the same sort of material that was being passed R18 in the UK. It took customs a while to catch up and realise it was actually now (broadly) lawful to import hardcore porn, and it looks like they are still behind the times. We can see all this stuff on the web - what exactly is the point of continuing to seize completely harmless movies like this, especially without proper justification? Unfortunately customs have that especially toxic combination of considerable power and pretty much zero accountability. So, proper justification goes out the window. It doesn't matter if the real reason for the seizure is that the person concerned is a religious zealot or likes the look of the films and decides he'd quite like to add them to his own collection - they can do more or less what they like with impunity. In theory you can appeal a seizure, but who wants to go down that road when there's a risk of draconian punishment should the appeal be unsuccessful? I'm hoping my order hasn't gone the same way as the original poster's. Five or six days seems to be the norm for global priority - it's now eight days and counting. Not that there's anything extreme or nasty in my order, there's not, but with each day that it doesn't arrive I'm becoming increasingly pessimistic.
As you've suggested, HMRC is a notoriously unaccountable government department, but appealing against a seizure is a civil matter - you won't get a criminal record if it is indeed decided that Customs were correct to grab the items. There's lots of info on hmrc.gov.uk - just search on the keyword "seizure"! Hopefully they haven't got their grubby hands on your goods yet - I've found this year that Global Priority is more variable than ever, from 4 days to the better part of three weeks, so I wouldn't be disheartened yet. The better part of three weeks?! Bloody hell! It's my first order for nearly a year so I wasn't aware of this recent extreme variability of global priority. Had those global priority orders of yours that took a lot longer than normal been opened by customs, or did they get through customs unmolested but still take a long time to arrive anyway? As my order was fairly large it must have been sent in the larger size global priority envelope, so I wonder if that is more likely to attract customs' attention? That said, I seem to remember reading a while back that the smaller size envelopes are no longer made, so I'm assuming that any order now sent by global priority is sent in the larger envelope whether the order is for 1 DVD or 20. My last Global Priority shipment arrived in 6 days(that was about 3 weeks ago),they always have arrived in either 6 or 7 days,however my latest one is now in day 8...so your not alone.Seems to be a general delay in my post since the school holidays started
The place I ordered from have said they have had customers have to wait 2 or 3 weeks for orders to arrive, though they also said this rarely happens. Maybe there is a general delay at the moment, but it's coming up for a fortnight now and still nothing. The annoying thing is not knowing what the hell is going on.
It can be variable. A couple of times recently I've had an order take about two weeks to arrive while another one from the same company shipped a couple of days later than the first one and arrived about a week before it did. It seems to take either four business days or ten business days with little in between. I would start getting concerned after a couple of weeks though. Even though once I had ordered via global priority as usual and the company (Lasers Edge, RIP) shipped the dvds in their covers. Took about three weeks to arrive, with the package pretty battered :-(
Thankfully my order arrived on Tuesday, so it took about 2 weeks. It hadn't been opened by customs and the customs clearance stamp mark says 4th August. That means it either took much longer than usual to get from the US to the UK, or it got to the UK as quickly as usual but for some reason spent ages sitting in customs waiting to be processed. Sorry for not responding sooner, glad to hear you got the goods. No, basically my orders got through customs untouched, in the usual size package, and there was no sign of when it actually was stamped so it's hard to say on which side of the pond the delay took place. Last Global Priority took 4 days but weirdly one item I had ordered before that arrived afterwards.
It seems my experience is similar to yours. It's strange though - why should priority mail suddenly be taking so much longer? The change to only producing one size of priority mail envelope perhaps?
