J. Jameson re: J. Drake/AVN on Stern this morning

She was not dismissive of the biz and admitted that she was too thin in the past year, but when Greg Fitzsimmons mentioned that a lot of of performers and in particular Jessica Drake were annoyed with Artie Lange's jokes at the AVN awards, .Jenna said that she doesn't like Jessica Drake and that she is in general not very popular (as a person) among performers… So some questions for those that wuz there… Did performers indeed have a problem with Artie's jokes? Did non-performers on this board who attended the show find his jokes over the line? And is it true, in the experience of knowledgeable board members, that Drake is not well-liked in the biz? Or is Jameson just competitive with her (Drake is going out with Jameson's ex)… If these topics are inappropriate, apologies to mods… [Link]

I was actually there for the rehearsals, I'm jana jordan's publicist so i escorted her as she was presenting with lange, and I saw how he was coming up with material and it just wasn't happening...IMHO. Stern show, but I have noticed that Artie has gained a massive amount of weight in the last year or two. The guys has such an addictive personality. I guess he just can't stop eating. Or gambling. Which is odd, cuz I don't get that vibe from Drake. I would also imagine that Jameson might feel a little threatened by Stormy, who after all is her successor vis-a-vis mainstream acceptance… [Link]

jessica Jessica Drake i've been a very, very wicked girl. 110 Posts 8/07	Posted - Feb 20 2008 : 12:06AM eh, i'm gonna go ahead and post here, even though i usually don't in situations like this- it generally only stirs the pot. at any rate, evan and i split up well over four years ago. he's been with syren about 4 years, and i've been with my current partner for about the same length of time. i wish him the best, really, and have nothing else to say about that. ; ) on the jenna vs. me debate, i'll say this: i wasn't at rehearsal, and yes, it was Stormy that took offense to a particular joke. i don't know exactly what it was, so i can't say if i would have reacted that way or not... bottom line is, it wasn't me. as far as my name being brought up and jenna saying she didn't like me, the funny thing is, everytime i run into her, she's super sweet. in the beginning of my career, i was surprised she even knew my name or said hello at all! I was backstage in the green room getting ready to present an award at the AVN show this year as she was getting ready to go up and give Stormy the Crossover award (where she made the fateful speech), and she was nice to me then too. I find it suspect that she had anything to say about me at all. As for saying that people in the business don't like me, i think you'll find that's not true. i'm sure there are a few people that don't "get" me, a few that do get me & don't care for me, but on the whole, i'm pretty laid-back, low key, and low drama. but whatever. and the popularity remark? i've never said i thought i was popular at all. i just try to make awesome movies & represent Wicked to the best of my ability. after that, you gotta let the chips fall where they may... i readily welcome jenna to air any grievance she has with me. my email is xxxjessicadrake@hotmail.com. but i guess you know you've finally "made it" when jenna jameson talks about you on stern...lol. love to all, (even you, jj!) jd [Link]
