Thx for the interview. It's great that she clear things up & explains there's no hard feelings. It makes sense that if she wants regular exposure, she would leave Vivid, though I don't understand why they play this parcimonious game with the superstars like Tera, Janine or Jenna but their main regulars like Savanna or Mercedez still get their monthly releases. But is Digital Playground really the best bet for more constant & regular exposure ?
I'd really love to see Janine do a bunch of "firsts" for Digital Playground that have already been shot by Vivid (like IR) and have DP put them out first. That way, by the time that Vivid releases them, they will be "old hat".
I'd really like to see Vivid get burned by their slow release schedule.

Haven is floating out there. I did a tag team interview with Haven and Ashton (Haven/Ashton Interview) where she talked about wanting to do more movies. She is looking to get a deal with another company and perhaps DP or Club Jenna could be a destination for her.
She'll be 37 in November. She's a living example of the adage, "You are not getting older, you are just getting better!" Janine looks better than most women in their mid-twenties.
She is great. Do you have the stuff she did for Xplor? Just curious because I shot it. Nothing special, but it was her first stuff. Never have seen reviews of that stuff.
Since I don't know them personally (although they were nice, in person when I met them) I can't answer that but I can tell you professionally Teagan is wild!, even though I love Jesse Jane (super nice, gorgeous) she needs you to kind of show her how to get aggressive, her scenes are too tame. As for Devon, I dislike g/g but the thought of YOU two together is actually very exciting. In case you have done a scene together during your Vivid days I think you are sexy as ever now and would love a fresh scene.
C'mon folks, she may look better than some girls in their mid-twenties but I think the rose-coloured glasses are showing through a little. Her prime is long past and the only reason her comeback is even being talked about is b/c she's finally relented and is doing guys (a decade too late, IMO). And what, are you blind to all those tattoos? That sleeve? Gross. No wonder the vid companies are desperately trying to cover it up on the box covers. She should have just retired with some grace instead of going down the road of "see how hardcore I can be" that plagues so many porn veterans.

I agree that some people tend to lay (no pun intened) it on thick when it comes to pornstars and compliments. I also agree with you concerning Janine's tattoo's. I thought she should have been arrested for defacing a thing of beauty. But it's her arm and she can do what she wants. Having said all that, I totally disagree with you that Janine is past her prime and people are only interested because she's doing b/g. Janine might be 37 but her face is still drop dead gorgeous and her body is still smoking hot. That's why I'm soooo excited she's doing guys. Felicia could do b/g scenes tommorow for Red Light or Jules Jordan and I still wouldn't show much interest. The only reason I haven't had a heart attack watching Janine do her (b/g) thing, is because she worked for Vivid. Some stars have definitely shown they're age, Janine isn't one of them. IMHO.
I for one like women and not girls. So thank god Janine is back. On top of that she seems to not let producers/directors etc walk all over her, but does what she is comfortable with and enjoys. That scores way higher in my book than some 19 year old doing anything for a quick $.

Well, signing with Digital Playground doesn't look like "going down the road" to me. DP isn't any cheap Gonzo company. In my opinion it is what Vivid was in the mid 90's: The best company for mainstream porn. But I understand your point. Janine destroyed her unique status as the all-time queen of g/g-only in porn history. But you can't raise a child on your porn legacy. And signing with Vivid or DP to do b/g is nothing to be ashamed of.
BTW, I think it's strange somehow to speculate about someone's career decline while she is posting in this thread too. I was told by my parents that it is not polite to talk bad about people, especially in their presence. Doesn't that count for pornstars? Or is it the internet that makes people talk so rude?

As a critic for AVN who praised your work for Vivid in the 1990s, let me point out that what made you special was PRECISELY the fact that you were one of the few who did girl/girl exclusively.
That's why you lasted longer than most Vivid contract performers.
Most of your fans loved your work precisely for that reason - hanging out at the VSDA and CES conventions, I recall no great clamoring for you to do guys. In fact, doing guys after all this time is what I fear will make you less than special.
There's a reason for that: when most porn women do only g/g, you get a much stronger glimpse into their real personality. That's what makes it hot! When these women do b/g, they suppress much of that to cater to the male performer so that he doesn't lose his hard-on. If you were to do b/g, you'd be just another run-of-the-mill assembly line product. Look what happened to Serenity and Devinn Lane when they switched to b/g - blah!
Also, your interview with Roger really didn't touch upon your relationship with Julia Ann? You were never actually lovers off-camera?

Well, I didn’t reveal a private secret. I just pointed out that there are good reasons for coming out of retirement. Being responsible for a child is a very good reason, that’s why I think you should stop bashing her.
Wish I were able to simply enjoy my porn DVDs without thinking about what’s happening behind the scenes every once in a while. But I guess I’m not ignorant and selfish enough.
I'm not sure that Haven is floating actually. Last I heard she was still under contract with JKP, though in the interview she did, she said she wanted to go somewhere else. At the very least she can Janine can do web work as they are both ClubJenna girls.
