Appreciate the feedback Cubesnake. I understand exactly what you're saying, but would argue one point. I was jazzed about this release, but didn't EXPECT it to be shot as MY dream scene or anything. All I expected was a competent directorial job and a competent capturing of the "action". After about 5 minutes of watching, I simply wanted to see a visible shot of Mandingo's giant tool visibly penetrating the lovely Janine. Not a whole lot to ask. :-)
this is one horrible dvd. The worst song ever played in the background during the first scene. All slow motion, horrible angels. absolutely garbage. very disappointed.
As I said in my original post, with a different director/photographer/editor Im sure we would have been able to enjoy your performance to a much higher degree, my dear Janine, which I found no fault with. The problem was not with the performers or your performances but rather in the complete and utter failure of the director to let the performances speak for themselves, in effect destroying them with artficials effects one on top of another. First music, then inane use of slowmotion, crappy camera work etc.
If anything I feel angry on your behalf, having to see your work performance being bungled in a way like that must be "rather" annoying.

janine was great and looked like she was really into her scene but the music and slow motion killed the scene. Would love to see janine with either evil angel or redlight.i was thinking of buying pirates by digital playground but am not sure if there is dialogue or if it is all music. also hoping it is not in slow motion does anyone know? janine you look great and none of this criticism is directed at you.

I agree that I don't like a lot of Digital Playground's stuff. Everything from Celeste is not for me. And the fast, MTV-style cuts aren't for me either. I even prefer Vivid over DP. They absolutely the most "vanilla" company out there IMHO. But on the upside, their actors and actresses are just so incredibly hot! I've got no choice but to watch. :p
I'm not asking for some crazy gonzo action, just make it a bit more realistic and add some personality to it. The girls are like dolls. Great to look at, but very vanilla when it comes to sex. Not a knock on the performers at all, but on the directors.
As a huge janine fan I read this for the forst time wasn't on here in 2005 she had many oppertunities to do interracial in her comebacks and free janine and did not I must say she was a 2 hit wonder and if she was to come back interracial would not be on her card she had many chances and I am disappointed after reading this thread
Wow. An old thread but one I mostly agree with. I remember being excited to see Janine do IR back then and bought the DIGITAL PLAYGROUND DVD first thinking it would be the better of the two. I was totally wrong. Since I bought that DVD I think I've only watched the actual movie scene twice and watched the couple of minutes of real time, real audio numerous times because it's so much better. I'm pretty sure DP has turned off many fans with that slo-mo, elevator music artsy fartsy stuff. I'm sure they thought people wanted it because it probably sold well but I'm willing to bet most people didn't really like it and merely put up with it because it was about the only way fans could see Jesse Jane and their other stars. I can understand doing the occassional movie artsy fartsy style but for a long while it seems all the Jesse Jane movies were done that way. When I finally saw a Jesse Jane movie in real time with real sound I was shocked and pleasantly surprised to see what an energetic performer she really is. I'm sure most people enjoy seeing the DP performers better without the artsy fartsy effects. As far as Janine goes, I was very surprised she never did more IR stuff. In both movies in the BTS interviews the way she went on about how much she enjoyed doing IR she made it sound almost spiritual. I was sure there'd be much more IR scenes from her but it never happened. Of course I doubt she'd do IR today based on her current husband. That's fine with me because I'm really not into Janine's looks these days anyway. But I'm still a bit disappointed she didn't do more IR during the era she made her other IR scenes.
I watch it sometimes hoping I missed something but I didn't it really sucked but gotta admit dexter dizzle will always be the luckiest guy in porn he hardly did any movies guys were lining up for janine and he gets fuck her in like his 4th movie lucky bastard lmao
^I wouldn't hold my breath. She's still fighting for custody of her daughter so porn is likely not something she would attempt for fear that it will be used against her
