The "article" has no purpose or point...other than to satisfy the writer's own rambling idiotic dumbheadedness fascination to write about something so stupid. Yes, pornstars are human beings that are real people outside of a camera's lens who once upon a time may have or may have not gone to a public high school and decided not to use their real names in porn. Ok, I got it thanks.
I just think the guy is showing off, though not with much class.
The "real name" is less potentially damaging than the yearbook pic. I think there are hundreds of people with the same name who went to high school in the region (and the school is not ID'd). But one look at the yearbook pic and people who know will know instantly. Anyway, if someone didn't post it here, you'd see it elsewhere, and then someone would post to that .
Kind of a non-issue, in general. Nice to see that porn hasn't changed Jasmine all that much.
Been chopped up again and again, but it's a hazzard of the business.
Cool or not somebody knows you're a star and it's a risky business for anyone that expects complete privacy.
I'm not saying it's right, just saying that it's expected that someone somewhere will out you sooner or later.
This thread will be locked and little Ms. Sanchez will be forgotten. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't she gone...? I haven't seen anything new with her.
She's not gone ... Mercy! I witnessed her in the flesh, grinding hard on the dance floor, about 6 weeks ago. Perhaps she's not as busy, but I don't think she's inactive.

Well, I'm not a hater, but I'm not a fan either. You never know with these girls though. maybe she dancing and not performing. Either way it's always the quiet ones, isn't it ;-)
You know, as lousy a thing as it is to do and as much of an asshole as this guy appears to be - this really isn't that large an issue. Its bound to happen sooner or later and you really have to be prepared for that if you are going to enter the business.
But Skronk - your link was hilarious!
Even though I come from a town about the size of your thumbnail way on the other side of the country, I learned that someone that I went to school with and competed in gymnastics with was in porn. I already knew the pornstar and never made the connection - so some people really DO change a lot!
BTW, does anyone else here who has met and spoken with jasmine byrne think that the author (of the linked message board post) was more than a little off?

Since Jasmine is about 26 now, I don't think she was a 15 yr old soph 5 yrs ago. The 19 yr old she was passing off as when she entered the industry was just a fabrication. I would think that most of that page is bullshit, and that picture may or may not be her.
About the only thing this thread does for me is reinforce the idea that porn stars are just like everybody else. As to if that's really her or not is irrelevant.
There's a lot of fine women in porn, I hope they wasn't religiously schooled at home and never allowed to leave until they got kicked out at 18 when they explained to their parents how they wanted to be in porn for living...
Hey... my former class mate now owns a decently successfull business... Too bad I beat him up once... 'Man, I know I beat you up, but I'm a little unemployed and...' lol.

That is so true, but it doesn't change the fact that the average star would assume keep that private. I don't know your background, but I would assume it's easier to dodge this type of situation if you grew up in one country and live adulthood in another.
I posted it because I thought it was interesting, at least as interesting as about 75% of the has-she-done-anal threads that this forum gets. Once you get your cum-splattered face all over a boxcover, it's hard to remain anonymous in an era when anyone can open a virtual newspaper at any of several blogging sites.
Wikipedia already has the real names of plenty of porn stars, including a reference to the post I linked to. If you want to enter the sex business and preserve your anonymity, it seems to me like there are better ways to do it than to have your face looking like a glazed donut plastered all over dozens of box covers. A UTR escort can be just as successful, financially, as a porn star, while maintaining anonymity and deniability, for example.
Particularly when guys like you spend their free time trying to out performers.
Tell me this isn't yet another "pornstars are prostitutes" thread.
Yeah, cuz another "pornstars are prostitutes" rant is such a unique, interesting, and valuable contribution to this message board.

Am I alone in seeing irony in people bumping this thread only to say how terrible they think it is? Why not just leave it (and the other one) to die the lonely deaths they deserve? I have nothing more to say.
I would think any true fan would at least respect a star's right to privacy limited though it may be, and at most verify that the information is indeed correct. Picman is right the source is highly dubious as the dates do not logically agree with verified fact. I also find it curious that the Wikipedia reference was added on September 1, 2006 by someone who was hiding behind an IP address.

I'm sure there's a paucity of women named "Mary Sanchez" in Southern Califorina.
I like how guys idolize pornstars and hold them up to an unrealistic trophy image that once reality hits they're disturbed. An example is this instance; someone finds out that the girl is normal and men start getting excited. Another example is when pornstars decide to have children or get married- it seems so to be such an alien idea to the male fan populous that they quickly begin absurd notions such as "the child will be scared for life". Has it every occured to you that the words porn-stars are meant to further market regular women who've taken a role of being the sole ideal image of your fantasy? And has it further occured to you that just like any other person regularly featured on television, not only are they someones neighbour, friend, sister, daughter and such, but they are also NOT stars. They're women who've taken on a different idenity. The star feature is just a lure to help you jerk off, and the music stops when reality hits.

@ kirby Guessing your post is addressing 'males', it leaves me completely confused. As I absolutely don't recognise anything you write, I'm in doubt being a man.
Man are from Mars, women from Venus. Don't you love that; endless explorations.
Oh: I admire Jasmine Byrne. As talent. For the memorable scenes she's in. She's my star. One of the zillions, and by that unable to be idolised.

Think of it this way, Hardware...he's the one who just admitted he dropped trough and started yanking his crank for all the internet to read. If he can figure out who "Mary Sanchez" is, certainly she can figure out who he is...spread the word.
Noahped, unless you know the character who wrote the uberblog (or whatever the hell it is), I'd say you don't know his position. How'd you feel if you went to school with someone, later to learn she was a porn star, esp. if you weren't a porn aficionado like we are collectively. I'd think it to be rather weird to know that one of my 44 classmates were doing porn, or anyone in my lil' old alumnus for that matter. Not saying that I wouldn't be proud, just a little 'weirded out'. This guy, probably not your average porn connoisseur, probably never thought twice about sharing his experience, or typing her legal name for all to see. As fans, we shouldn't condone this kind of stuff, but you can't police everyone who opts to blurt out a name from time to time.
As for "outing" someone's legal name, I think it much funnier that the fanboys hold some level of personal security (connected at the hip) to said star. However, said star's own highschool buddies who find them on Myspace blurt out their real names from time to time (queue search for myspace junkies) when commenting in their blogs.
I recall flagging Alektra at one point when someone did so (to this day I don't recall her name, not something I take record of personally). Don't bitch about it, just do your part to make the star aware that their legal name is being exploited, if anything at all. Bitching about it otherwise isn't going to solve anything.
haha I don't need to know his position. If he can write a public blog, then I can write that he's an idiot in a public forum. lol If it acts like an idiot, writes like an idiot, than gosh darn it to me it's an idiot!
And I have gone to school with a pornstar...it's not a big deal. Granted she's not hugely popular, but I've gone to school with lawyers, doctors, and grocery store workers too...so what. Maybe I'm just numb to world of porn on that level, I don't get all the hooplah. Yes pornstars are people too okay yes!
I never even got much further than Hardware's post.

And you, my friend, are a fanboy. Use of the label "idiot" with no backing or explanation is completely elementary as far as I'm concerned.
Yes, they are people. But like any "celebrity" status as noted elsewhere in here (reference Gunzo's "popular businessman" comment), it's bound to gain some notice eventually. Complete anonymity can NEVER be expected from any profession, unless you work in a coal mine. I never went to school with anyone famous, but it would be neat to recognize that someone I did attend school with made it big ~ even if I hated their guts. That's the point you're missing. You speak solely from the fanboy perspective Mr. Photographer, employing only the "how dare they?" perspective, rather than thinking ANYTHING about what this person's high school life was like.
I know that in lil' ol' Fort Ann, NY (pop. 6600 across 80 sq. miles), if someone became a porn star, the whole goddam town would know before the year was over. From her legal name, to her performer name, to how many times a day she wiped her ass & who she was fucking on a regular basis. Personally, as much as I couldn't stand 90% of my classmates, I still find it interesting to see what hand life has dealt them 8 years later, regardless how hard they might try to cover it up (most people just know me from school as "the railroad guy").
Some info on sites isn't necessarily outdated, it's just erroneous due to the way the star wants themselves portrayed. If nothing else, to protect the character's image. Jasmine Byrne may be 21, but (insert name here) might be 26...it's Superman -v- Clark Kent. I don't know heads from tails on the matter, just trying to offer a valid explaination.
If you know that someone was 30, but their character is portrayed as a healthy looking 21-23, would you still buy their movies? I'm sure there are a fair number of fans who would judge their viewing/foaming decisions on that fact alone. Anywho, had I known that, it wouldn't be my business to tell, which is why I keep that information to myself even on sites like IAFD, where I'm an occasional contributor.
Like the legal name issue, it's really none of anyone's business except the performer and those closest to her, until someone slips or flagrantly brings it up like the URL at the head of this thread. I'm certain there are a gaggle of fans on here who know legal names of female performers (of course Wikipedia is a plague here), but respect & trust them enough not to go blurting them out. Unfortunately for each of us here, this was a URL we all read from an outside (likely non-ADT'er) source.
Jasmine mentions her 21st B'day in a BTS clip recently, in such a way that I'm inclined to accept that as her actual age. Though, as a general rule, if a porn girl says she 21, she's really 25.
or 30 (shhh)but Jasmine is young. You know I get mail from prisons to my home? People want so badly to prove they know a "celebrity" that they name bomb and jepordize the safety of the performer and her family. I hate that we don't have rights and while I accept responsibility for my actions, I never knew I was giving up hopes of my safety.

You might remember a rant by pimp extraordinaire Don Mega (I forget what his screenname is) about Jasmine bad mouthing him. The only thing he actually disagreed with that she said was about his apartment being dirty. But I regress. He brought up the age thing. Not that I take his word for it, but it was corroborated independently in a BTS with Victoria Sweet, who offhandedly mentioned it. It appears that she and Jasmine were seeing each other at the time. Just that picture in my head makes my crotch sizzle. Anyway, I feel fairly certain that she's older than listed. It's not like mid 20's is ancient. Jasmine is a fox by any yardstick.
