I usually don't watch VH1 specials, but her presence on boards like this one has led me to a renewed curiosity. Honestly, I never have been a fan of her movies. Her movies for Wicked, to me, were soft features heavy on lesbian themes. As a guy, I always felt she had some animosity towards men, and I didn't want to be a part of that. At least that's what I thought at the time. I guess what really struck me about the VH1 special was her ability to openly discuss the abuse she suffered through as an adolesence. It is impressive that she's strong enough to do that in front of everyone, and I mean the whole damn world. She goes on to say how stripping jaded her view of men, and porn was a way for her to aggressively act out the pain she had held in. Upon looking back, what I felt was an "anti-male" tone in her movies I now see more accurately as emanating from her pain. How often is this the case with porn actors? For those with a traumatic past, how many actors are even consciously aware of their pain when they choose to do porn? I do not want this to be a porn-bashing threat; that's not my intention. I just felt so sad after watching Jenna on VH1, though I'm happy for her that she's found some peace in her life. [Link] |

I would just like to say that I met Jenna last September at the Tampa Show and she was nothing but nice, friendly, (she practically made my knees buckle, she's so stunning and sexy. I wish I could have spoken to her longer) and well-spoken. Okay.....I have a crush, but I don't think her words are bullshit. [Link] |

I mean, where is the gain? OK, she may sell a few more copies of that autobiography of hers, but I don't see how these statements will boost her DVD sales figures. Or maybe they will? "Gosh, I just have to buy Bella Loves Jenna to see how these two ladies act out their pains and aggressions and their twisted views of men through a hot and steamy lesbian sex scene." Hmmm, giving it a second thought, I must admit that there is a certain appeal here. Anyway, I do think Jenna speaks from her heart.
