found some time to watch disk 1. man, 4 hours is just a bit too much. anyway, my thoughts on disk 1, if you like Jenna then you will like it, if you're not a big fan, then it's like, whatever. as for it being the best movie of the year, that's up to the viewer to decide, certainly it doesn't look that way for me so far. I mean it's good, but after seeing Jenna in the first 3 scenes, as I said, it's like whatever man, it gets boring. If I was editing this thing, I would put the first scene last, as the DP scene is pretty much the best thing in disk 1.

I watched Jenna Haze Darkside yesterday, and thought it was awesome! Many thanks to Jules for another outstanding release- your attention to detail and careful preperation is very appreciated- Thanks for taking your time, man!
I am looking forward to this movie because from what I've seen from the pics Jenna Haze has grown up and actually looks like a woman!
That makes her more appealing to me. I'm not hating on that particular teen genre, because I liked watching Nautica Thorne, Chris Taliana etc. But Jenna Haze back then looked like she was 13 years old. But I guess that was the whole appeal of her along with her on screen charisma.
She looks way hotter now than she did back then and this is a highly anticipated release for me.

I usually don't buy movies revolving around just one woman nor am I a big Jenna Haze fan, but this movie is great. I love the theme and the nasty little scenarios Jules came up with. A truly inspired piece of smut. Jenna is a great muse.

no one still has answered my question about whether this is the best movie Jordan has shot in his career.
Finally, watched disk 2. I honestly don't see the big deal here, it is a great piece of porn if you are fixated on Jenna Haze, but 4 hours of one girl in every scene is just too much to keep me interested.
The thing is, I already have seen Jenna do all these nasty stuff before she became a contract girl for JKP, so what's new here that I'm missing? At least if they had some anal cream pie, DAP, cumfart in another girl's mouth or something I have not seen her do before, I would say it's worth it. I lost interest after the second scene.
I like both Jules and Jenna, I just don't see what the hype is all about. I'd certainly say that in my opinion Jules has directed better porn than this, Assworship 8 is just one that pops in my head.

Jenna Haze DArkside BY FAR is the best movie made this year, and I don't think ANYBUDY can come close to it. and YESS Jenna has done a lot of new stuff that she's never done before. like IR, Boy/girl Anal with REAL GOOD ATMS etc. If you guys got nothing positive to say, and just out hating Jenna just because she's way more popular and loved then your certain favorites, doesn't mean you have to come out and try to bash a movie that's clearly head and shoulders ABOVE the rest that have been made in along while! I mean, Jules has done two of these things in as many years. If you're a fan of his shooting, I'm sure that most people will like whoever is the focus of the next one.
I personally don't have this one, I have the first one though, and I do like the concept. So let's just hope Jules manages to do several of these a year, and we'll all be winners.

I don't know what some of u have been smoking, but the very fact that Jules made Jenna Haze's darkside AS SOON AS she got out of JKP, speaks volumes of her talent and sexiness. Jules by far is the best at what he does...and if soembudy like him waits for somebudy like this to do somethin special with them, it's bound to turn out great. I don't think I can say anything bad about Jenna's Darkside, and I do believe it should and it BETTER adn probably will win the movie of the year. Yeah...Jenna isn't my type and I LOVED teh scenarios...but the lack of intesnsity/heat/any kind of connection with her partners was infuriating to me...it's on eBay if anyone wants it...rjdsgod is my user name.
bottom line, if you enjoy jenna haze and or jules jordan movies you will absolutely love this movie, if you are not a fan of jenna, obviously this might not be the flick for you, although it may convert you! I completely disagree with the "lack of heat" statements here. Some of the people in this thread have not been jules jordan supporters since day one (but have still watched this movie, thank you!) so obviously your opinions will most likely be negative toward it. This movie has obviously sparked peoples interest, with 7 pages of threads. It has been a huge success and a big movie for myself and Jenna, I think it is a classic! Thanks to everyone who has purchased it.
For the longest time at Jenna's Yahoo club people kept posting saying they wanted her to get back to making movies with you Jules. Thankfully she did, and this movie cetainly lived up to all the waiting, and all the hype. Like you said if people weren't into Jenna to begin with, they might not like a movie that has her in every scene. Luckily for some people like myself it's exactly what I've been waiting for. Great job, to both Jenna & Jules, and I can't wait to see what both of you have in store for us in the future!
P.S. As mentioned earlier, we just need Jules to convince Penny Flame to embrace her "Darkside", and I will really be a happy porn boy!!

Theres always been a soft spot in my heart for Jenna. Having jumped straight into the hardcore anal scene, she wasted no time in stretching into any of her roles.
A trooper from day one, she guzzled with conviction, and took it all in stride. As I recall, she's not a complete stranger to ass pie, and if theres any in Darkside, it's already earned my praise.
If not, well, she'll still get a fair shake from me, regardless of how many tomatoes I chuck at Jules for the snub.
I am a huge Jenna fan and Jules fan as well. I still watch fh1-3. Not a slight on Jenna, as she is an ace performer, I just felt the scenes lacked that edge. Maybe the male performers were the problem. Perhaps you should have been in the movie with her, from a chemistry standpoint.
Just out of curiosity, do most directors prefer to strictly shoot. Do they only put themselves in the scene if a puppet has a problem?
Again, I don't think if you are a Jenna or Jules fan you absolutely have to love this movie.
I thought it was good. I don't see that it was lacking in heat in any way. On a 10 point scale, I'd say the girl/girl scene and the blowing 5 guys in the video store were 8s, the opening scene with the light dungeony theme and the dp, and the maid scene were 9s, and the shoe store scene, the Mr. Marcus and the bride scene, the glory holes scene, and the "Blasphemy" scene with the priest were 10s. This averages to 9.25. I'll add another .25 at least for the total package, to bring it up to at least a 9.5, which sure isn't bad. Movie of the Year? Maybe, maybe not, I don't know, or care. I usually don't pay a lot of attention to what year a porn movie was made, anyway. I like what I like, and dislike what I dislike. Often times I happen to agree with many other people, but if I had disagreed, I would say so. Reviews do matter to me before I buy or rent something, but I put less stock in awards shows or magazines or webzines or vh1 or E!'s list-of-things-that-were-awesome-or-that-sucked types of articles or tv shows. In mainstream movies, a high tomatometer rating is more important to me than how many Golden Globe or Academy awards a movie has been nominated for or won. I feel the same way about porn movies and porn awards.

I don't know what chemistry and intensity problems people are seeing. Jules did a great job of casting for the best looking guys to play with Jenna, and it seemed like she appreciated the effort. The only questionable meat puppets were in the group scenes and nobody expects a connection to be made there. Jenna seemed to be getting off on her return to meat and there were quite a few nice moments where her enthusiasm was visible and palpable.
Yeah, I don't know where people are saying this lacked heat. In fact, it's so much heat it nearly melted the screen in some scenes!
The very first scene was a scorcher...and it goes from there. Granted, the one where she takes on the guys outside the video booths was kind of so-so...but the scene with the glory-holes I thought was smoking! And Mr. Marcus....wow, Jenna with him was totally hot. As was the guy she did in that wacky house (with the Volkswagen chair thingy) was equally hot.
So no, I can't see where others are saying it lacked any heat. I can't see where it could get much hotter!

What the hell u guys talkin about it was missing intensity or heat? Did you people even WATCH THE MOVIE??? Jenna from day one, has been known for one thing...her INTENSITY AND PASSION! I suggest you look at her scene with Marcus again, or the girl/girl scene FULL of intensity! THe movie IS a huge hit, and after ALONGGG time I've seen a movie so many times. I never watch a movie more then twice, but this one...i musta seen it about 18-20times already!! I think it's one of the best directed movies in Jules career, and infact, in the history of USA porn. Jules is simply the best at what he does, and teaming up with Jenna Haze...it was just pure Magic. Maybe some of you guys that are trying to bash her movies have Hidden Agendas, and don't wanna see Jenna outdoing YOUR favorut star
It really was a very good porno. I definitely liked it. But the bigger the hype, the bigger the backlash, so I guess some of the hate is to be expected, and hyperbole in the defense of Jenna, Jules, and their movie will only attract the haters more. Still, I can understand it when people don't like the movie because they like tall blondes with lots of tits and ass and Jenna is raven-haired and relatively short and petite, but I don't see how anyone could say she was boring. She may not be the freak who sticks impossibly large inanimate objects into her ass, but she's never boring. Even in the JKP movies I've seen, other scenes without her might be completely fast-forward worthy, but her scene would still be arousing, even though you know it could have been so much better with a different company.

I don't understand all the hating on this movie. It was extremely well done. It had a topical and sexy theme to it. Jenna looked amazing. What's not to like? I'm an extremely picky bastard and it is very hard to impress me. That being said, I liked this movie a lot. My guess is that the folks who don't like this movie are:
(1) fat girls who rue the fact they'll never have Jenna's body;
and/or
(2) mean boys who rue the fact they'll never have Jenna's body.
Whichever is the case, get over yourself and give credit for a job well done. Thumbs up, Jules!
Yes, I think you hit the nail on the head. Whenever something is way over-hyped, it can never live up to the expectation for some people.
I suppose I was lucky in that while I bought the movie from just seeing the first couple of posts about it, I didn't get further into the hype before actually seeing the movie. This way I really enjoyed it and now I'm on the other side of it and being one of it's "defenders" (as if it really needed a defender).
Hype and hyperbole have ruined movies for me in the past, the recent one was Peter Jackson's King Kong. It was a great movie, but it fell flat for me at first because I was expecting so very much from it from all the hype it got before it's release. This isn't the movies fault, it's my fault for getting more and more into the hype. So I can imagine someone reading through this thread, reading the reviews and and then actually buying Jenna Haze: Darkside and being a little let down. I'm just glad I didn't get into the hype before seeing it.
Remember kids, while all opinions are valid, opinions are also like assholes - everybody has one. Just try not to be assholes when discussing them, eh?
I don't think some guy on a message board's "hidden agenda" is going to do jack or shit to the sales of this movie or Jenna's career. I also doubt that "an 80 year old grandma" would have done whatever Jenna did better, so both sides can stop trolling one another now. ok?

Gentleman Jon and NudistCpl are of course completely correct when talking about the negative effects of hyperbole, which explains the backlash against anything that gets promoted bigtime to a level of unrealistic expectations, whether it's this movie, King Kong, or Pirates.
the funny thing about it is that the hyperbole was not created by the studio, I dont think I even issued a press release on it....
Its funny M.B. has bashed every one of my movies he's seen, but yet he still keeps on buying, very soon after the movie comes out as well.....thanks for being a great customer MB!
