Ok this is for constructive views of her book. I am just over 100 pages in and I'm really into it. I feel so sad for what she had to go through so early in her life, it certainly toughened her up but it sucks that people were such shits to her. I know everyone has had bad experiences it just her's are right there on the page to read and I'm most intrigued to keep reading. Some great pictures also from the early Jenna years plus some recent ones, again I'm early in the book so my opinion will evolve as I read. I hope this book will be read by a lot of ADTers and we can discuss what you thought of the book. I will say right now I will lock this thread faster than you can say Heartbreaker if people are malicious and hurtful in any way with their comments. You can say you don't like the book without all the colorful adjectives which have no place on this board. So feel free to say what you thought, what you liked and didn't like-- see above, and what you wish had been included. From what I can see so far Jenna has laid herself pretty bare and I for one thank her and only wish her one thing, well maybe two combined, Peace and Contentment!! She's done a lot in her 30 years and I've been a fan since pretty early in her career and have been pleased to see what she's accomplished and I hope to see a lot more from her before she stops working in front of the camera, I think with her website and having other girls work for her Jenna Jameson will be a force for many years. I also like the fact the book is almost 600 pages, I love long reads like this!!

I'm only at chapter 8 (don't have a clue the page #)and so far, there's 2 guys(if they aren't dead)that could be bring to justice because of those revelations. One is "Preacher"(maybe she didn't use his real name but with all the informations she gives,it should be pretty easy to find the guy)for raping her and also,is it,"Vinnie" the guy who hired her at the Crazy Horse Two strip club when she was only 17.By the way,so far in reading,it's so obvious that she is,was,a master at milking money out of all those men(making $2000./$4000 a night)that she didn't get me in the load,because...I didn't buy the book to read it :-)

Jenna's book is outstanding. Interesting, well-written, hilarious, depressing, triumphant. It's a great look into her past and what she wants for the future. I was never really a Jenna fanatic, but I always admired her success in the adult biz. She's an intelligent, savvy businesswoman who wouldn't be where she is today without those skills (and well, yeah, along with her God-given gifts :) She is definitely the leader of the pack, the one in which footsteps all other porn starlets hope to follow, whether they admit it or not. I've gone Jenna crazy recently. Can't wait to see her next week.

I heard she said some bad things about Wesley Snipes, can someone confirm or deny this?

First off the think the book is very well written and actually gives guys a good understanding about the inner emotional feelings of women. I thought she was pretty hard on Rodney Hopkins aka Brad Armstrong. He comes across in the book as a guy who had no balls and basically tuned Jenna out once he married her. I'm kind of sad to say but Wesley Snipes comes off as a real jackass. In the book he asks Jenna to hang out at his table with him and the first thing he said was, "Do you like it up the ass?". If you know Jenna that's not a good start.

Wow, the book sounds truly fascinating. I'm a little short on money, so I'll wait until it's available at the Public Library. I also heard she didn't like her "encounter" with Bruce Willis. She also mentioned that she knows when women are attracted to her, and she felt it from Cindy Crawford when they met.

Jenna talked about how Suze liked to use the newer girls a lot, I mean a lot as she was shooting Jenna almost nonstop for weeks at a time when Jenna first started going out to LA. What got Jenna upset most of all if I'm recalling correctly is that Suze wouldn't let Jenna use any of the pics for personal use I guess in Jenna trying to promote herself, I think she even asked Suze to shoot pics just for Jenna to use as before Suze would sell them to all sorts of magazines and in those Jenna wasn't credited as Jenna but a vast assortment of names. So that's a broad brush of what her beef with Suze was and if I'm way off on parts I'm sure Jenna will correct me if she sees the thread. I am now up past page 200 and I'm still glued to the each page!

You don't have to wait for the book to be at a public library(if ever)to read it.Just go at a private library that are all the Borders and Barnes & Noble store. They graciously provide you with chairs on which you can sit on while reading any of the book they have available on their shelves. It's free. The only problem, compare to a public library,is thatyou can't lend it,so you have to go a few times(3 or 4)to get through. As far as Suze Randall is concern, she use mailny naive(as Jenna was in those days) girl and when she it's a beautiful one (as Jenna was)she use it to the max (over-shooting,making 3 different layouts the same day,for the same fixed fee $300.)selling these pictures for every existing magazines in the world, ranking all the money with the model receiving nothing more. What did piss off Jenna the most was that she always did pose for her,in thinking at it was to wind-up as a Penthouse cover(Randall was a Penthouse photog.),which cover, she never did get and each time her face was appearing in every cheap magazine, she tought her chance to ever appear in Penthouse were reduce, that's when she decided to stop working with her.

I haven't read the book, but I would take a lot of it with a grain of salt. she was on stern and he started quizzing her on the contents. She seemed to only have a partial grasp of the details of her own life. Sounds ot me like a lot of the content has been inflated for dramatic effect.

I saw a copy at a Barnes and Noble and skimmed it. Wow, Randy West paid about $8,000 to fuck her in Up and Cummers #11. I loved how she described him: "he had the fashion sense of a homeless wrestler." BTW, what WAS the point of printing a transcript of the interview prior to the scene with him? It looks like fun to read, especially if you're a Jenna fan. Dozens of photos of her stripping. If you're not a fan of hers, the only parts worth reading are probably "How to make it in the business." With Jenna writing good advice for women who want to enter the industry, and then interviewing an anonymous leading male performer about the men's side. Very informative and insightful. It's definitely not the fantasy that some men believe it is. If you want to continue fantasizing about having sex with beautiful women on camera and getting paid for it, don't read this segment, you may be disappointed that it's not always what it looks like. There's also a sample final contract, for those interested. It even lists some numbers: $250 for anal, $400 for a DP...

The $250. for anal(with opposite sex partner),D.P. at $400. and $650. for airtight, are the extra money the company pay in plus of the price they pay for the scene so,if they pay the girl $1000. for B/G then,if they ad anal, she get $1250.If they ad a DP instead, she gets $1400.There was also a price for gang bang I think it was $250. for every partner, over 3.The price she is giving for G/G at $500. and B/G at $1000. is ,I think,a little bit high(I think $400. for G/G and $800. for B/G is more the standard) but...who knows,I remember,4 months ago, reading a report by Luke Ford on a Rob Spallone set and they were shooting girls(which one was the "it" girl of the time{at World Modeling},Randi Wright, and they were paid $300. for B/G and the poor guys were only paid $100.....Isn't that same Spallone who offered $200. to Lara Roxxx(before she got famous and giving for excuse that she wasn't the cutest girl to shoot) to make a B/G anal scene.Yes it is :-)

Well I've finished the book this evening and it really was an interesting read throughout. I commend Jenna for sharing so much of her lifestory with us and to see her today you have to be impressed and proud I think! It's great to see her reaching out to her immediate family like that. The book gave me pause to think about my relationships with both of my parents and I don't know if I'll ever be as close as I'd like but this is about my opinion of her book and I must say it's a very favorable one and it had me really feeling for Jenna at points, sure she made some bad choices, and she called herself on them as well. The porn world is something I've only touched the corners of so I don't see all the dark areas Jenna has and this book showed that somewhat and I thank her for that. Well I'm sure I'll read it again at some point as I'm sure I missed something or a passage will touch me in a different way but now I'm glad to have read it, I thank Jenna for writing it, and most of all I'm glad to see she's at a point in her life where she's happier than she has ever been and that's an ideal we all should be striving for everyday!!! Well done Mrs. Grdina!!

I'd have to agree with you on that. I read the book in like two and a half days and wished there were more. Whether Jenna was actively involved in the minutae of the book or not - it lays her life out pretty bare and gives the reader alot of cause for pause. I was interested to see the behind the scenes look at the industry when I initially began reading - however, it didn't take long before I was intimately connected with her family, relationships, etc.

Although I have damired what Jenna has accomplished as an individual and a business-woman, I just was never a really big fan (I'm more partial to dark and exotic looks!), but after reading this tome, I'd say I'm even more of a fan of hers! I'm, sure she has provoked allot of reflection in allot of people with this book - and she may have affected a future performer or two...I'm just sure she has done some good with this book and wish her all the well-deserved luck in the future.

p.s - I wouldn't say she goes that far with regards to Suze Randall. She unloads alot worse on other people in her life, and she pretty much admits that she understood where Suze was coming from and why...there seems to be some sort of recoinsiliation as people even if she never worked with her again - same as with Steve Orenstein...if you notice, both are well-mentioned in her "Thank You" pages.

"Corruptio optimi pessima..."
